Bought other studded tires before, this is a higher quality tire, very visible difference. We haven't had much snow yet, but have been hammered w/ black ice. Very confident feel riding.

I commute to work on New Hampshire roads in the winter. I rely on the Ice Spiker tires to keep me upright which they do very well. They can handle icy conditions and I am comfortable using them with up to 2 inches of snow. They don't keep me upright if I hit chunky ice but I wouldn't stay upright if I ran over rocks that size either. I'm well past the quarter century mark so staying upright is important to me. I don't bounce off the ground like I use to.
I was able to use Bike Tires Direct points to make the cost very palatable.

I was able to ride the icy trails (and ponds) with no problem this winter. This was huge as such conditions kept me off the bike in prior years!

I used these tires for multiple years commuting when conditions were icy in the morning, or inches of snow later in the day. Note that these are very noisy on bare pavement!

There is a little slip on turns. I think I need to adjust the air pressure on my front tire.
I do get around on the winter bike paths.

I have been using these for commuting and recreational riding in snow, ice, and frosty roads. The traction on ice is amazing! Highly recommended for safety in riding in winter conditions!

Great traction for the rear. Had to pull my fender off but worth it. Going to buy one for the front.

I ride 29-in Ice Spikers now, but started with the 26-in tires. Worth every penny. Got me through hellish winters (packed snow, slush, sheer ice) in SE Idaho with no problems. Great price from BTD.

These tires are worth every penny. Anything that can keep me outside in the winter instead of inside on the boring trainer is the best in my book. Especially since I don't own a fat bike for riding in the snow. I rode these tires on 3 of ice and had great traction. Only a small amount of side to side slippage but that was my inexperience on them. I got the hang of them quickly and had no more problems. They also cut right through about 4-5 of snow with no slippage. I highly recommend these tires and Bike Tires Direct. They shipped this order very fast so I could get right out and ride.

Daily winter commuter in the Boston area - I set up my RadCity commuter ebike with Icespikers front and rear and I ride 20 miles a day in and out of town on bike paths mostly - when I got snow - it cuts and keeps great directional control. High rolling resistance on pavement - but that's the tradeoff.

These tires were worth every penny as they enabled me to continue my daily 15-mile ride through snow and ice and down to 11 degrees F. Excellent control on ice and I could go up hills that had cars spinning. The knobs allowed plowing through 6 of snow with slight spinning on the rear. . There was a bit of side to side slippage through slush when there were ice shelves below, but with good balance and powering through, nothing can stop these tires. Highly recommended.
