I've tried a lot of others and none of them seem to last as long or keep the chain as clean as GoldPro ProLink. And it doesn't collect dirt and grime the way some other products do. Great stuff & a good value.

ProLink Gold is the finest chain lube I have used for dry riding conditions. My chain runs more quiet and smoothly with great shifting and extended chain life compared with just about every other lube I have tried ( which is most of the popular brands and formulas on the market). I find it to be less effective in wet conditions because it is an extremely thin lube that can wash off quickly in wet riding conditions. However, this formula really performs well in dry conditions as it easily gets deep into the pins and rollers where the lube is most important. The metal friction readucers in the formula help the chain to run silky smooth and quiet while extending chain life about 20-25%. I generally get about 4500-5000 miles out of my KMC 10XLS Gold chain with ProLink compared with about 3500 with most other lubes. Your total mileage may vary due to riding condtions and terrain but I would expect a similar percentage improvement in chain life.) I live and ride in pan flat So. Fla. and cruise at 90-100 rpms so I am easier on chains than average.)
I generally lube the chain every 100-200 miles and with ProLink, I find the chain remains so clean that it is not necessary to degrease and clean it more than every 500-600 miles. It comes in drip bottle and is easy to dispense a drop at a time so In just a few minutes I place a drop on each pin, let is sit for a few minutes and then pedal the cranks while I wipe off any excess on the outside of the chain (which is useless and only attracts dirt anyway).
I have used ProLink for over 50,000 miles of riding and wouldn't think of putting anything else on my chain. If I get caught in the rain I make sure I clean and relube as soon as I get home and even the wet riding doesn't create a problem.

This lube is light and promotes easy, quiet shifting. However, on a couple of occasions when I got caught in rain on century rides, the lube ended up washing off and drying out leaving me to hear each pedal stroke. If you think you might run into rain on a log ride, throw some White Lightning on as a back-up before you head out.
