Great!

Nice tire. Was running Tom Slicks but this are pure slicks. Easy to mount and inexpensive. Will buy more.

Thank you for your feedback.

Gain speed, Drop time.

I purchased this tire to help reduce my race time. I race a couple times a year. I ride a 26 mountain bike with 2.4 tires. I basically went from a 4 minute mile down to 3 minute mile. Very impressed with the performance. Almost like having no tires at all. I found out I needed a higher gear the first race, I was topped out at 25 mph and still had plenty to give.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great product

I put a few hundred miles on these tires. Good grip, good control in tricky unexpected brakes, low rolling resistance. Good commuter reliable tire. Nice 'racy' look.

Thank you for your feedback.

Best slick tire for mountain bike?

These tires are awesome!! They have NO tread, so rolling resistance is extremely low. For pavement there's no need to have any tread, their spec sheet says they hydroplane only around 110 mph!! I've been hopping NYC curbs and potholes all season with no signs of wear or damage. I've ran over broken glass a number of times with no problems. Price is excellent too. I can't imagine a better road tire for a mountain bike.

Thank you for your feedback.

Fast, solid roadwork mtb tire, great deal

Excellent purchase - we bought these tires for my son's mountain bike - he easily gained 3-4mph over the stock block tread tires - been on them for 4 months with no troubles and no flats - made a follow-on purchase of this same tire to use with my Vision R40 MWB recumbent rear tire - works perhaps even better in that application - combination of comfort and speed works really well. Only problem (and it's not really a problem per se) is that the wire bead is so tight I actually broke a plastic tire lever in putting these on my Mavic recumbent rear wheel. Highly recommended, and a great sale price.

Thank you for your feedback.

Best slick ever!

This is the best slick mtb tire i've ever used. I wife and I both have old ti hardtails i've converted into rigid touringcommuting bikes and we put a ton of fast road miles on them. We've tried almost all the top name slicks over the years. Long time recent fave was conti sport contact 1.3. These were great tires with reasonable weight, excellent flat resistance, and darn fast and great handling on dry pavement. Then I tried the Wild Run'r 1.4 about a month ago. What a revelation! I decided on the 1.4 rather than the Wild Run'r Light 1.1 for a number of reasons. At 420g the 1.4 is still lighter than the 450g conti 1.3, though the incredible 200 gram 1.1 Light was tempting at nearly a pound less for the pair! The 1.4 is half the price of the 1.1 and a steal at $20. The 1.4 is a wide 1.4 (noticably wider than the narrower than advertised 1.3 conti) and should provide a more comfortable ride. And I figured you must give up something in terms of durability, flat resistance, and wear with the 1.1 to get that kind of weight. And these are commuting bikes after all.

So I now have 300 road miles on these tires. They were easy to mount on the mavic 717 rims. I weigh 200 lbs and have run these as high as 85 (max is 87.5) but have settled in at 8o f, 82.5 r as the best balance of speed and comfort. I have yet to have a flat and though 300 miles is certainly not definitive, it is a good sign. Had a good look at the tread and they seem durable so far - they have sustained no cuts or nicks, the rear is starting to show some signs of getting that flat spot in the middle, but they all do that. SPEED is incredible with these tires! Noticably faster than the conti's and only marginally slower than my $5000 road bike. Handling is phenomenomal, the michelin Pro 3 road tire heritage this tire was developed from is evident. The wide 1.4 seems to be the perfect width, you seem to float over every bump and pothole in the pavement but speed not negatively affected by the extra width.

I would like to try the 1.1 and see how the ride and durability are, but so far the 1.4 is the best slick I've ever used. Buy these if you want the fastest, most comfortable, best handling slick for dry pavement. Did I say these were FAST!

Thank you for your feedback.

Made my MTB much faster and easy to pedal in the urban environment.

Perfect for when there's no need for getting off the road. Road tires for a MTB bike.

1 year later still great tires

I bought these 1 year ago, use them on my daily 3-5 mile commute in downtown Washington, DC. I've only had 1 flat this year. Tires really hold up well, they pretty much look the same as when I bought them. Substantially faster ride. And smooth ride is great *********** (very quiet). Highly recommended!

Awesome tire!

First time I used this tire was for a 23 mile ride for the Wounded Warrior Foundation. It was a 108 degree day and the tire was excellent! Very low rolling resistance and great grip. It makes a world of a difference if you plan on doing any road rides with your mountain bike. Bottom Line... buy this tire for on road only rides!

Excellent value for the price

Excellent grip, I have pro 3 race tires on my road bike, and got tgease run'rs for my mountain bike, just to hit the road. I absolutely love them, best value for the dollar for sure. They're great, don't know how long they'll last, but so far, I love them

Good inexpensive road tire

I commute on my mountain bike every day for about 3 miles each way on good asphalt bike paths. These tires are good for that kind of riding. Comped to my previous 559x52 tires they are surprisingly smaller. My bike sits a bit lower with these, but the rolling resistance is good.

They work in rain too.

Very good tire voor MTB roadrides

This Michelin Wild Run'r tire provides the speed, grip, comfort and low rolling resistance i was looking for for my MTB. It has a supple casing so the comfort on this tire is ok. With nearly 600 km. i still have had no punctures. I manly use my MTB in the winter on manly dry roads for my LSD training sessions.

Great Tire, but...

I really like this tire, I've been using them for years. I get a lot of mileage out of them on my mountain bike, and I can ride longer distances. The only thing is you have to watch out for glass and sharp objects. Since this tire is a slick tire, it will not protect it from punctures. You should inspect it after each ride to make sure there is no glass embedded in it. Other than that, it's a great tire, especially for the price.

Runs Quiet on a road machine

I use this on a Road Machine Trainer, because it runs quiet in the back yard. With a regular tire on the Road Machine, it must run on a frequency which bothers dogs, because regular tires set the dogs in the area barking like crazy. The Michelin Wild RunR 26 Inch Tire

runs smooth and quiet and does not set the dogs off.

great city/road tire for mountain bike

This is the best city/road tire of several I've tried. The tires are supple and fast rolling, a different feel altogether from priors. The tires were difficult to mount on my Bonti rims because of the stiff beads. I can't comment on the wear. I'd definitely get these again.

smooth but inferior

I was enjoying my 5th ride on these until today, just a little shard of glass cut over a half inch out of the tire on the front & the tube was a lost cause. My slime patches were barely enough to cover the slice on the tube & I also used a patch on the inside of the tire do to the size of the slice. I used a dollar bill also in between the tube and tire. luckily I was only 25miles from my vehicle. This tire needs to be more reliable. I have used other Michelin tires for 1000's of miles without issues. My guess is they are cutting corners to make it smooth and this light. It unfortunate, I am not the only only one the web that has also ran into this issue in such a short time frame. I was running the Michelin Sport Pilot's in 26x2.0 prior with no issues had about 6k before replacing with no flats not even once. This tire is 26 x 1.4 and I have only 222miles on it and its done for, arrived home and tire is bulging outwards. What a disappointment. Rise at your own risk.

Thank you for your feedback.

Actually pretty good for what I paid.

If you were to go to Walmart for some no name MTB tires you'll spend the same as you would for these Michelin brand. There are pretty fast and I thing they look pretty cool. They made me like my MTB that much more again for the same price I would have spent one a lesser name brand tire.
