Got this tire on clearance, and in a weird, freak accident tore the bead out of it in my favorite rock garden. Tossed in a tube, did the rest of my ride, and contacted BTD.
BTD replaced the tire free of charge, and I'm back riding on the High Roller.
Clay-heavy mud will overwhelm this tire, but in all other cases, great tire for rocky, rooty, loose trails. Solid grip.

I've used a half dozen UST High Rollers over the last 3 years, previously the 2.1s. I just like the way my new 2.35x26 HRs feel ... lots of grip on turns in loose stuff, lots of grip when climbing on loose stuff, the ramped knobs that reduce friction during those pavement rides to get to the trails.
I've previously used Bontrager and IRC tires. I just feel the HRs are a better tire. My only complaint about the HRs is that, close to the end of life of my previous set of 2.1x26 HRs, the rear tire would get huge bubbles in it when I would attempt to inflate over 20psi (well below the rated max). (The tread was mostly worn off, but the tires were not so severely worn that the casing material was showing.) I have heard other HR users complain about this, too apparently the LUST casing is not super strong andor ages poorly. Guess I'll find out soon, if Maxxis has improved in that regard.

I am very pleased with this Tire. It rolls fast and handles extremely well in turns. I have High Roller tire on the front and a WTB Weirwolf on the back of my Ibis Mojo SL...
