No more slipping with this tire. I mean maybe if I'm in 1-1 gearing, going uphill, and I jam on the gas, it slips, but otherwise it's way better than my shtty continentals I used to have.
This is my favorite tire for all the varying trail conditions that I like to ride. I've leaned into high speed corners and bounced through rock gardens with no worries of loosing traction. I can air it down for extra traction and pump it up for setting land speed records. hahahaha I have confidence in the traction on the corners at downhill parks and on the twists and turns on cross-country trails in four different states.
This tire works well on loose dry surfaces. It hooks up and doesnt lose traction and spin when climbing steep loose stuff. Havent ridden in mud this summer so cant rate on this. I used to race and would not hesitate to race this tire. Just a good all around mob tire.
I bought 2 of these in the spring, just wore out the 1st one after 1100 miles of rugged rocky dry AZ trails (used as rear tire). Very tough tire, great traction on loose on hardpack, dusty rocky Phoenix AZ trails. I would definitely recommend it.
Slightly wider profile over the stock Trek tire resulted in better stability. This helps with the numerous soft sand areas. The grip is confidence inspiring. The tire compound is softer and not as long lived as I would prefer but that's why it grips so well. I'll be order the same tire again.
