I buy a new helmet every few years. Road focused, 8K miles a year. This one seems like the best Ive owned: safety, aero, cooling, good looks.

I recently purchased the Giro Eclipse Spherical MIPS helmet to replace a Kask helmet. Though my Kask fit well, this helmet is much more confortable from both a fit perspective and airflow. I use it for both long road rides and commuting. This helmet is incredibly comfortable and lightweight. Initial adjustment was very easy and getting it dialed in was great. It is definitely the most comfortable helmet I have worn. I highly recommend this helmet!

I bought it because of looks, light weight, and very well received by reviewers.
It is amazingly comfortable that doesn't even feel a helmet is on, so well vented, very effective in trapping sweat, overall a very satisfying purchase.
Initially back adjustment dial and the plastic frame was scratching the neck, which was disappointing. But the issue got resolved after adjusting the plastic frame to match the shape of my head and loosening up the dial a little.

Purchased this helmet as an alternative to the POCs I've been wearing the last few years. The looks are great, it is light, and the venting is wonderful. But in my opinion there is a serious flaw that you all need to be aware of if you're, um, a bit larger.
The MIPS straps in the back hang very low compared to other helmets and the plastic is very thin with rough edges. If you just try on the helmet you don't notice this. But if you, like me, are a bit thicker but still ride with a fairly aggressive position, those thin straps will dig into your neck right below the base of your skull even when the helmet isn't strapped in with any pressure. You turn your head and these things become little plastic knives. In my case, after my first ride, it was simply hot spots and what felt like a scrape. Yesterday, after trying to stretch these and sand them (they are so thin you really can't do the latter) a 90 minute ride with climbing, where my head position was really stretched to look up the hill, it was so bad that I ended up with scabs on the back on my neck from these things. Talking to Giro didn't help and they had no adjustment suggestions. So into the trash this goes. If you are a bit in the larger side where you might have a bit more skin back there, avoid this helmet. Which sucks to say because it is otherwise super comfortable just trying it on and looks great.

Helmet bought to replace a Giro Aether MIPS that has seen lots of service. Fit is consistent with previous Giro MIPS/Spherical helmets, size small for 5'1" female.
Helmet is very light and well-ventilated. Very comfortable on all length rides; don't even notice it is there. Have already had some days in the low 80s in Eastern NC with high humidity, and airflow has been excellent.
Also purchased the RocLoc 5 LED light. Light installs easily and is surprisingly quite visible from the rear and sides when standing. Have long hair which fits well through the back of the helmet, and when on the bike and stretched out even a small bit, the hair all but covers up the light. Have tried securing the ponytail more tightly, but it still largely obstructs the light. The concept is great and probably works well for riders who are more upright and/or with shorter hair, but may not be effectively visible otherwise.

This helmet fits my head much better than any of my previous helmets. Comfy and lightweight. Great glasses garage that holds my Roka's and Oakley's well. Nothing digs into my skin, and I don't even notice it on my head when i'm riding.

So far so good. It seems aero and has an excellent safety rating. Only word of caution is it fits a bit tighter than other Giro helmets I've had in the past. Also, the Giro helmet cage is a extremely fragile so never pack it in a suitcase without protection.

The Giro Aries Spherical MIPS is extremely light and comfortable and well ventilated. It is the best bicycle helmet I have ever owned. Yes, it is at the higher price range but I would gladly pay the price again when it is due for replacement.

Love this helmet. Upgraded from a Giro Synthe that I really liked. This helmet looks much better. Its quieter than the Synthe and is cooler. Only complaint, because it sits lower it sometimes clicks off my sunglasses when hitting a bump if the helmet is looser on my head. Not a big deal, might just be my glasses. Would I buy again? 100% yes.

Updated my helmet from the previous spherical MIPS helmet by Giro, the Aether. Not only is this helmet more compact, but the padding and shape add to the comfort and looks. Really glad I pulled the trigger on this one when I did.

The Giro Aries is the best ventilated, most comfortable and lightest helmet I have ever owned/worn. Summer weather in Florida is oppressively hot and humid and I try to ride 12-1/2 miles 5 or 6 days a week. The Aries has a sweat dam which is 100% effective at keeping sweat out of my eyes even though my jerseys are typically saturated and dripping by the end of my ride. I love this helmet!

The recent BTD sales have made this more attractive, so I bought a second one for my wife. Thankfully, I have not personally had to put this to the test, but professional testing suggests it is now the best option. The fit seems much more natural than my Bontrager Wavecel helmets.

Giro helmets are my go to as they are perfect fit. I have tried others like Lazer but always end up coming back to Giro. The Aries is compact with the highest level of protection, perfect road cycling and racing.

I got this helmet because a I needed a new one and looking at the recent safety rating it ranked at the top. After a recent crash my helmet looked fine but then later I saw the foam was cracked inside!
The MIPS system conforms nicely to your head and it quite comfortable - more so than my old conventional Rudy. I still blunder around trying to get the buckle engaged but hopefully that will be sorted with practice. It doe looks quite bulbous on the head. For looks the Kask Aero would be my choice but "safety first"!

Yes, this isn't an inexpensive helmet and you can get some great helmets for around a hundred dollars but if you want one of the best this might be for you. As they say, don't skimp on contact points. Helmets, shorts, shoes, and gloves that aren't completely comfortable aren't worth it no matter the value. This helmet just fits me well. No hotspots and secures so well with the dial on the back that you feel like you don't even need to buckle the strap. What I also really like is the ball-and-socket MIPS system. It really is next-level as it works without having the plastic slides inside the helmet which makes other helmets feel hot and can feel weird with a shaved head. Despite the ball-and-socket design, this helmet has a very low overall profile. In other words... you don't look like a mushroom head. I also sweat a lot in the brow pad design is better than most at wicking the sweat to the sides.

Been wearing Giro helmets for over 25 years. Have bought a Bell and Specialized along the way for spares, but Giro's fit me the best. True to size the Aries Spherical is the most comfortable yet. Well worth the money for fit and safety and still lightweight.
