These are a nice, cold weather option. Insulated and cozy for temps well below freezing if layering your upper body properly. I've ridden these with full leg bibs underneath or with bib shorts/knee pads, and have been comfortable any which way. They fit a decent sized (but better with minimal) knee pad underneath and move well while on the bike. If you're wanting to ride in really cold conditions, any compromises you have to concede with a thicker pant are well balanced by the pro column. I may try these out for Nordic skiing as well.
