Review by Skinny Phil
I have been racing on FMB tubulars for several years in cyclocross. I decided to try out some open tubular (tubeless) tires this season. They were relatively easy to mount using a compressor. They would not mount with a hand pump or a smaller battery-powered pump. I am running low pressures, and I have not burped a tire, and they are nearly as supple as a tubular. They did not "snap" into the rim when I was installing them, so I was a little concerned that they might burp more easily, but that has not been an issue at all. I still have some FMB mud tires glued up for really low pressures in the wet stuff, but these tubeless tires have been great. When my mud tubulars wear out, I might make the full-time move to tubeless.
