I've tried for years to replace my old Pearl Izumi Barrier lobster gloves, but the linings were always too synthetic/cold or the barrier wasn't as good. These have a warm lining, and while the barrier isn't quite as impermeable (especially on the underside), they seem to mostly keep the wind out. My only quibble is that the forefinger is separate from the next finger. Keeping the one finger isolated somewhat defeats the purpose of a glove like this because that finger does not have the adjacent finger next to it to help keep it warm. I suppose the idea is the index finger is kept separate for shifting, but it's a negative for me. I'll definitely use these but will keep patching up the old Barriers for really cold rides.

I use these for all types of riding, road, gravel, mtb. The single split finger makes shifting and breaking much easier than the traditional lobster mitts. Warm and windproof as advertised.

I'm not in a very cold climate but it has been dipping down into the mid 30's Fahrenheit on my morning 50 minute spirited ride and I've been wearing these. They have been just right! I'll wear them up to about 42 degrees on shorter rides but I think for me they would be too hot on a 1 hour climb at 42 degrees so I wear something a little thinner. They are easy on and easy off, work well enough with drop bars and great with flat bars. Also they have soft spot perfect for wiping snot.

True to size, worked for me (with bad circulation) down to about the mid-high 30s. Lower with handwarmers stuffed inside.
