This is my second attempt at using Continental Kryptotal tyres. The compound and casing makes a significant difference. My first experience was with the trail casing and endurance compound rubber. The tyre lacked grip if the pressure was too hard and had no support if you dropped the pressure to get more grip. Finding the right pressure was really difficult and one day a pinch flat ended my time with the tyres. This time around the enduro casing with super soft compound is fantastic! It has lots of traction and the enduro casing offers great support. The tyres also seem to dampen the rough sections of the trail so it's very confidence inspiring. I'm glad I gave these tyres a second try after not having a good experience the first time around with them.

Continental is now my new tire I go to I was tired of maxxis. I have ridden for so many years then the tires developing a warp when the beads moved after railing a corner. The Conti have better grip. Are very predictable in all conditions and on bike. Tires direct went on sale. The price is unbeatable.

Tough to mount and maybe not as good on wet roots as Maxgrip from that other company but faster rolling and longer tread life. Kryptotal supersoft front and soft rear in enduro casing is my favorite MTB tire setup and Bike Tires Direct has the best deals.

I've always been a fan of continental tires but these tires raise the bar to a new level. I wasnt able to buy the downhill casing so I tried the enduro casing for a winter tire. I was impressed to say the least. They are grippy, but not too grippy like some softer tires that create rolling resistance. They are wearing very well for a softish compound and have taken months of abuse in rocky terrain. definitely buying another for the race season.

I got this set of Continental Kryptotal (Fr & Re, enduro casing/soft compound for both) to replace a set of Maxxis Minion DHF tires (2.5") on my Evil Offering. The traction of the Kryptotals has been far superior to that of the Maxxis Minions, and I find the 2.4" width to be far better suited for the technical downhill trails out here in western Washington.

Replaced worn Butcher which cam on my Levo. This new tire is has a harder rubber which I hope lasts longer. I ride fire roads and single track, which mostly dry all the time . The tire performs great, edges well if you set before the curve but I do wish it came in a 2.6.

After reading other favorable reviews on these tires on the interwebs I decided that I needed to give them a try too. Tires were easy for me to mount and get the beads to seat (air compressor). Swapped out similar tires from Schwalbe and hit the local trails in PDX. Instantly pleased with the tires, better traction which turned into more confidence on the descents, which turned into more smiles per mile. I recommend giving them a go if you're needing a new set of tires.

Haven't had a chance to fully test durability but the Enduro/Soft casing thickness and tread pattern/depth is perfect for the loose over hard conditions we have in the Front Range in CO.
