I belong to a local bicycle club and would say about 65% of the people I ride with have Gatorskins. Ive had three sets myself and have had nothing but great results. They grip good and are very durable. I recommend buying the folding version since they are easier to put on.

Dependable tire in all weather and road conditions. The wear indicators come in handy, too. BTD has the best price anywhere.

I began using these tires on road bike about 4 years ago and have had no problems. I ride on city streets, roadway, and bike path. Excellent performance. My recent purchase is for a fitness and exercise bike. I expect the same excellent performance as with the road bike.

I live in the California high desert where tumbleweeds and the resulting thorns are as common as snow in Alaska. I have the Continental Gatorskin tires mounted on all five of my bikes. I am not a high-mileage rider, but I do get on a bike 3 to 4 times a week for some decent miles. Over the past two years, I have not had a single flat or tire failure. In addition, roads in the high desert can be fairly rough, and I feel that the 32mm Gatorskins are as fast as the 28mm or 25mm tires on these roads, with a much more pleasant ride. The only reason I use the narrower Gatorskins on a couple of my bikes is due to frame clearance. So I do have experience with all three sizes. By the way, the folding Gatorskin is most definitely easier to mount on a variety of rims, and they mount very true, indicating the precision manufacturing by Continental.

Great riding tire. However after about 100 miles I had a blowout ending up with a huge hole on the sidewall. Im chalking this one up to just receiving a lemon because ever since I switched to Continental tires about 18 years ago Ive never had so much as a flat. It took about 2 weeks but I received a new tire, excluding the tube, from Bike Tires Direct.

I've been using these exclusively now for a few years as my training tires. Where I live, the roads are rough with chip seal, pot holes, and dirt roads. These tires are durable without sacrificing too much in the area of performance.

When I'm riding to work I don't have time for flats and so far these tires have delivered. If you don't have time for flats either get these. You won't be disappointed.

The gator skin tires I bought were easy to install and performed well on the not so perfect roads I ride on. I would recommend them to all my fellow cyclists.

These are my go-to tires for light touring (28 mm) on my road bike with a rear rack & 2 panniers. I put 4500 miles on my last set without a flat. They take the weight and abuse but still roll well for those high-mile runs. I prefer them to Armadillos or DuraPros.

I have had fewer flats with Gatorskin Tires. I used them in Ironman Maryland and had no troubles. Other people didn't have such good luck. I recommend them. I bought them on sale.

Fairly heavy tire but, if you're looking for a tire that will allow you to rack up miles & don't flat frequently, Gatorskins are a good bet. I have them on all 3 of my bikes,

After tiring (ha!) of getting a flat every ride on my old rubber, I put these on and promptly rode 460 miles on a 100lb touring bike across Indiana on a variety of surfaces. I did not get any flats. One can tell they are quality by feel during installation. Even if they wear out in 1000 miles, I still say they're good.

I started using these tires based on friends recommendations. I typically get 2,000 to 30000 miles on a set. They are a great tire for the supportive rides I do. Only on flat since I have been using these tires and the tire was close to needing to be replaced because of wear when I did get the flat. I always buy a new pair when they are on sale and keep a stair set ready to go.

I got these tires because I use my bike a daily commuter, and my old tires kept getting flats from glass shards.
The tires feel great, almost like an extra gear on my bike compared to the stock Specialized tires the bike came with. They haven't gotten flat yet, seem like a perfect marriage between performance and durability.
If you're looking for a durable daily commuting tire for a good price that makes your commuter bike feel a little zippier, look no further.
