Works great. The bare metal is a little easier to get in and out of a cage. The ones with color have a coating that make them a little stickier - which I've appreciated on bumpy gravel descents!

Planned to use it on the road for our local hammerfests. Unlike a plastic bottle which you can keep horizontal and squeeze, shooting the liquid into your mouth, the bottle has to be perpendicular to the road for the fastest flow and the liquid comes out only as fast as gravity allows. And you don�t want to be tilting your head back to get the bottle perpendicular to the road. It is a high quality product for casual riding or hiking.

Tilt the bottle and a continuous stream of water is available. No squeezing, it just flows into your mouth making it easier to get a good swing of liquid. Bottles are easy to clean as well.
