These shorts are great because they are simple. No belt, Velcro, cinch string; just pull them on. That makes them light and comfortable. I used them for a mult-week tour. They were my favorite, by far. Water repellent and quick drying. Stretchy for all day comfort. Only two pockets, one zippered and one open. The only complaint is that they are a bit long.

I haven't tried them all, but I do have some good ones from top brands - what brought it home to me was how good these are is, realizing after a 3+ hour ride that I hadn't adjusted them once. That had never happened before. Light, but substantial fabric that moves very well, cut closer than most. Simple. Effective.
