I purchased the fender to put on my single speed X-Fire cross bike. I have trail ridden my cross bikes for over 26 years. The single speed is the bike I take out in the rain on a local water district service road. After every ride it takes longer to clean my kit than the bike. The fender attaches easily, and does a great job of keeping the sand, mud and gravel off the back of my gear. The road is mostly decomposed granite so i do not know how well it would work with heavy mud as the fender does sit close to the wheel. It is certainly sufficient to prevent the commuter stripe and my back pockets from trapping sand. I recommend it for anyone who rides a gravel or road bike in the rain and wants an easily attached/removed fender!

Anyone who rides in less-than-Ideal conditions needs this. Takes 2 minutes to install and protects your backside from getting splattered with rain/mud etc. Looks a little goofy, but the tradeoff is worth it.

Pretty great option if you're already considering it. Not gonna keep your suit drying riding to work in the Netherlands. But will allow you wear that top layer a second time before washing in the muddy seasons. Or keep you from getting cold on your back if you hit a puddle in winter. Again, if you were already looking it's probably what you want.

I do suggest getting your own protective tape and doing a full wrap around your seat stays. What's included is insufficient in my opinion.

This little fender performs impressively for its size and weight. Out of the way, doesnt slide around like seatpost mounted types, and is still easy on/off. Yeah, your gears/bottom bracket and buddy behind ya area likely get some dirt, but not your backside.

This does just what it says, but importantly, it's very easy to take on and off as needed. Great idea.

Inlcudes frame protection where the guard mounts. Simple, easy setup, and does the job. The only thing I'd knock it on is that the branding on the guard is mint green.

if you're trying to keep your butt dry, this is it. Easy to assemble and take off.

Have yet to take a spin in bad weather, but I do have the choice to pick and choose when I go. So I'm always trying to avoid bad weather. Regardless, it mounted super easy, & has plenty of angle options. It's much lighter than PNW Origami fender which appeals to me. Why carry extra weight when you don't have to?

Works great! Quick and easy to put on and take off. Provides good protection for the rider, but doesn't provide much for others riding behind you.
