Decided to take the plunge and grab a set of these during a BTD sale. They were still pricey but they'll be used by several in my household so that justified the cost, hence 4 stars for value. I'm a competitive cyclist, my wife is a cyclist and runner and we have a daughter that plays competitive soccer. I can't speak to longevity yet, but we are sold on these after just a couple uses. I don't know if these 'work' but the fact that they force you to just sit there and relax while they do their thing is helping recovery. Psychologically they make you feel better. They offer triple relief with compression, vibration and infrared light technology and you can definitely feel all 3. There are multiple preset therapies that cover several different objectives; the user interface is really friendly and these are simple to use. It was a nice bonus that they were about fully charged upon delivery, and you can use them while they charge if you wish. We will be fighting over these in my household, so in all likelihood I will grab at least one more set at some point. I would certainly recommend this version, but I would trade the infrared light feature and go for compression and vibration if cost was a concern.
