Professional Performance That Won't Waiver While You Ride
The unwavering stiffness and supple uppers of SIDI never fall short of expectation, and that is still true of the one-of-a-kind Sidi Alba 2 Mega Cycling shoes. The Alba 2 Mega Shoes offer the stiffness of carbon, reliable support, and supple uppers Sidi is known for, but with a much more accommodating price tag.
The upper consists of a material known as Politex, which fits your feet like only a high-end pair of shoes from an Italian footwear firm can. In addition to fitting well and providing excellent breathability, Politex is very durable and resists ripping, tearing, stretching, and fading. On the bottom of the shoe, Sidi uses its Millennium 4 carbon composite sole which is lightweight, much appreciated on the climbs, and directs all of the pedaling energy into the pedals, perfect for the sprints. Two hook-and-loop straps near the front of the foot combined with Sidi's Tecno-3 retention system make it easy to tighten up the kicks just before the county line sprint. The Tecno-3 system is very similar to the dials featured on other high-end shoes, with micro-adjustable widgets adapting the upper to the shape of the foot for a customized fit. The wire material is non-binding for quick and effortless adjustments on the fly. Sidi is well known for serviceability and the buckles are replaceable if needed.
An anti-slip toe insert and replaceable polyurethane heel pad improve walkability and add overall durability to the feet that need them most. The Sidi Alba 2 Mega Men's road shoes are compatible with all 3-hole road cleats and pedals and utilize Look's Memory Eyelets for easy cleat alignment and replacement down the road. When it comes to a comfortable shoe that provides all the power of a professional shoe but won't break the bank, make sure to give the Alba 2 a test ride.

Reviews
I'd never purchased a pair of Sidi shoes before, and hadn't spent this much money on a pair of cycling shoes before, so I really hesitated when I saw the price. Given the limited supply anywhere, I was just happy that BTD had my size available and in stock, so I went for it. Here I am a couple of months later, and these are easily the best cycling shoes I've ever owned, and I'm completely satisfied with what I spent. The quality level is really high, the fit is excellent, and going forward I don't see myself ever going with anything else.
Old Pearl road shoes were shot after 5 years/20k miles - time for a new pair. Last year upgraded to a pair of SIDI Dominator MTB shoes and loved them. Bought these to replace my road shoes. VERY comfortable - loved the MEGA width SIDI offers and this pair did not disappoint. Did not want to pay huge $$$$ for the high end or cheap out on the low end. This pair is solidly in the middle on price and big on quality. Scored them on a great sale (Thank you BTD!) Really like them - soles are firm, uppers comfortable, width outstanding, closure system very good for what I wanted to pay. The velcro closures hold up well and are adjustable and effective. The "Boa- like" closure is great though I wish the flap that crosses under that closure was a little longer (I have a high middle foot). Overall a solid pair of quality shoes for a price point I wanted to hit.
I bought these shoes to replace a pair of Sidi's that finally wore out after more than 12 years of riding. I have wide feet and the Mega style fit well. I wear size 10.5 street shoes and I ordered size 45 Sidis. I was not familiar with the fastening system that Sidi uses, which they call Techno 3, but after careful reading of the instructions I find it easy to use. These shoes are very well made and I expect them to last like the last pair.
I wear a size 15 shoe, and the Sidi Alba 2 Mega are a perfect fit. This is the first cycling shoe I've had that was wearable out of the box. Comfortable on long rides. These are a bit more expensive than some other options, but it isn't worth it to skimp on specialty shoes.
Road shoes that I has bought originally in regular, but had to buy again in MEGA width size. Super stiff and that sometimes causes a bit of numbness, but otherwise comfy. The dial is a bit funky to adjust on the bike, but not impossible. They also looked like they weren't vented very much, but they do seem to get air flow to the feet.
these are very comfortable. I was looking for a shoe that was a little wider. As my distance in my rides progresses my feet seem to flatten out a bit and my old shoes it would start cramping side to side and pinching the outside of my foot. these have enough room to not do that while still not slipping around. the velcro straps get nice and tight and the bolo is easy to use. i like that they have a replaceable heel as well as that heel seems to make it easier to walk vs my older L. Garneau shoes
These Mega shoes are the bomb for us old guys! My feet have flattened and spread. Had to let my two other pairs go;sadness. Can't say enough about these shoes. I did switch out the foot bed though. I have happy feet now!
