Higher Performance For More Cyclists
Combine quality with power in your new favorite pair of cycling shoes. The Shimano Men's SH-XC502 MTB Shoe has a low stack height in the midsole, which helps to stabilize the foot, maximize your power transfer, and further your efficiency to power through the trail.
A lightweight Shimano ULTREAD XC rubber outsole delivers a competition-grade grip that lasts. A mesh, TPU, and synthetic leather-covered upper is optimized to provide a comfortable fit with lighter weight. The midsole is reinforced with glass fiber, while the surround wrapping upper structure reduces overlap to provide a glove-like fit.
The SH-XC502 delivers a performance-ready feeling for profound pedaling power. A BOA® L6 dial on the instep strap is perfect for simple yet effective adjustment. The on-the-fly micro-movements are perfect for hardcore training days, while the rider-turnpike spikes allow you to select and swap spikes to match riding styles and conditions.

Got a great deal on these here at BTD. Love the blue color and they are super comfortable. I typically wear a 44.5 in Shimano but I got the 45 and they fit great. Had trouble trying to remove the toe spikes screws that came with them. Either it was the loctite or how the part inside the shoe is held, but I struggled to remove one of the screws (2 came out ok) and one simply would not come out. It just spun around. I have other shoes with toe spikes so I'll survice
They are very well made shoes - they look great. The sizing is really strange. I have 5 pairs of Sidi moutain shoes running in size 44, 44 1/2, and 45. The size 45 Sidis are large enough to allow me to wear really heavy wool socks in the winter. The Shimano shoes I bought in a size 45 are really, really tight - barely could get them on wearing the lightest of cycling socks. I've had Shimano shoes in the past that were a size 44 & no problems with the fit.
