Mavic Comete Pro Carbon SL UST
Mavic's Comete Pro Carbon SL UST Disc Wheelset features a NACA rim profile of 64mm deep and 26mm wide with an airfoil shape that is proven through wind-tunnel testing to produce the lowest possible drag without sacrificing stability.
It's Road Tubeless system with the new Yksion Pro UST tubeless tire reduces friction inside the tire for greater rolling efficiency. The rims are engineered with iTgMax carbon rim technology, and this version is purpose-built for disc brakes. It's engineered with 24 spokes front and rear for optimal brake torque distribution. The front hub is convertible between a 12mm or 15mm thru-axle, or a quick-release. The rear is 12x142 thru-axle or quick release.

Not compatible with non-Mavic tires
I like the wheels, but I ordered, at the suggestion of BTD, Conti GP5000TL when one of the included Yksion tires punctured and was not repairable. Needless to say, after several HOURS of trying, I was not able to mount the Contis. I have since used Schwalbe Pro 1 TLE. These have taken me OVER 3 HOURS of wrestling to finally get them on. I'm afraid that in stretching them on, the sidewall may have developed micropunctures, as the liquid latex oozes out of the sidewall after tire set up. My big complaint about Mavic is that it seems that UST has not been adopted, and only Mavic tires truly can be mounted. I will be looking to BTD for advice and for possibly new wheels. This has been VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Great Wheels, Fragile Tires
The wheels seem to be great but the tires are very fragile. I also have the Mavic Ksyrium Elite UST Disc wheel set with the same fragile tires.
In less than 100 miles I have had a number of punctures in both the front and rear tires riding primarily in bike lanes on city streets. The sealant works pretty quickly most of the time but some punctures seem to re-open. All of the punctures result in sealant spraying all over the bike and my legs so you have to do a bit of cleaning up after riding.
I have looked for more durable tires but there are none fully designated as UST which means only the $70 Mavic Yksion Pro tires are guaranteed to go on easily. I have found a few tires that are supposedly UST that others have made work with some effort but I don't want to invest that much money (up to $90 each) and not be able to get the new tires on and I don't get the impression for the reviews that they are any more durable. I am hoping that someone comes out with more durable UST tires soon. Until there are more tire choices I can't recommend any of the Mavic UST tubeless wheels.
