Description
To plot the future, Lazer tapped into its past.
Shaving both letters and grams, the Lazer G1 road helmet has been reborn from the ashes of its predecessor, the Genesis, as Lazer's lightest bike helmet ever.
How did they do it? Start with the G1's hardshell construction, which is molded from rugged and durable EPS foam construction.
Running through it are 22 internal channels that afford ample venting, which Lazer says is actually 8% more cooling efficiency than wearing no helmet at all.
Resting on the crown of the G1 road helmet is an Advanced Rollsys retention dial, which pulls an internal cable circling the base close. The fit that results is snug and secure but without headache-inducing pressure points.
Create two helmets in one with the addition of Lazer's G1 specific aeroshell (sold separately), which simply snaps into place to protect vented areas from the elements.

Reviews
Great helmet, once You figure out what is your right size; Lazer brand or model tends to run on the larger size as compared to other brands.
Once You get a correct a fitting helmet, it will fit like a glove. Many other advantages come with this Lazer G1; it can be used with a over helmet cover shield for winter or time trial. Tightening dial is way easier to access and using it is a breeze. Chin strap system is way friendlier to use, as straps are very simple to adjust specially around the ears. Color combination is a handsome mix of Matt and shiny colors that can differ from the crowd of single color designs.
Overall a great helmet.
Can't go wrong with a G1, in top of the range
Riding in a warm, humid climate, I chose the non-MIPS version of this helmet for lighter weight and maximum comfort, and it has not disappointed. It feels feather-light (my large is marked as 255 g) and ventilates so well that just walking while wearing it produces a noticeable breeze. My head feels like one of the coolest parts of my body while riding. The retention system took some adjustment and getting used to--in particular I had to lower the adjustable head basket a couple of notches from the default position in order for it to tighten adequately. With that done it fits securely, tightening via the top dial in a very diffuse way that does not create pressure points but stays in place well. I have no complaints and would not hesitate to buy again.
