More Grip, Less Hand Pain
The aim of the Ergon GE1 Evo MTB Grip was to increase the grip on the handlebars while further reducing the required strength input. When mountain biking, less effort put into the handlebars leads to less muscle tension and thus reduces the risk of arm pump or numb hands. The results are more comfort, better control of your bike, and an optimized arm position.
The texture alignment is slightly adjusted against the hand rotation, intersecting channels in the gripping zone, and differently shaped elements. The deeply drawn grip zone and the soft rubber compound further reduce the pressure in the thumb and ulnar nerve area. The optimization and expansion of the texture allowed for even softer rubber, which further increase traction.
In addition to the visible changes, the inner core has also been updated. By varying wall thicknesses in the different gripping zones, more grip rubber could be used where more damping was needed. This allows you to "automatically" take the correct position of the elbows.
- Maximum hand grip is assured with silicone-based rubber compounds
- Surface is rider-oriented and takes correct position of the elbows
- Directional Grip Texture opposite to hand rotation enhances grip
- Improved pressure distribution in thumb area
- Tuned dampening within various grip-zones thanks to different material thickness
- Multiple grip textures for improved feel

Perfect for long, hard rides
I love these things but Id suggest theyre not for everyone. Very hard but the minimalist design and ergonomics keep my hands from going numb, which was happening with my other, cushier grips. They are super grippy and come with a guide to help you position them correctly so you get the ergonomic part in the right spot.
