No bib straps? No problem.
Short rides, big rides, indoor training, and everything in between — the Assos MILLE GT Shorts are willing and able.
To live up to their reputation of providing long-distance comfort, they've been treated with Assos' proven Type.429 Titanio material, which is a lightly compressive textile with high elasticity, ensuring a comfortable and consistent hold on your legs while pedaling. The insert is the plush MILLE EVO, equipped with 8mm of memory foam, a black 3D waffle topsheet, and now updated with the kraterCooler system to boost breathability.
Impressively secure waistband.
The make or break point of any bib-less short comes down to the waistband design, and the MILLE GT Half Shorts deliver. Assos applied their breathable, supersoft Aerofit material at the front, using a fold-over construction that comfortably holds the shorts in place across the abdominals. At the rear section, a tall elastic hem mirrors the superFlat grippers at the lower legs, adding a secure, stay-put fit. In terms of colorways, the rich caleumBlue now complements the blackSeries, giving you a few more options to pair with your additional layers.
Assos Technology:
Type.429 Titanio: A comfortable, lightly compressive textile, engineered with expertise that uses a 4-way stretch to maximize the elasticity of the fabric.
MILLE S7 EVO: The MILLE elastic interface insert, evolved. The new black colorway, andthe proven 8mm of memory foam, this insert is nestled at the intersection between comfort and performance.
kraterCooler: System of small holes in the front of the insert that increases airflow so that your sensitive areas are kept cooler.
3D waffle: A patented, three-layer perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates excess weight.
goldenGate: A patented technology that interrupts the stitching along both of the insert's side panels, allowing more three-dimensional freedom of movement in this sensitive, rotational area.
Y7 Frame Carrier Bib Tech: Wide, flexible bib straps converge at the upper back in a Y-shape design, resulting in a flat, stable structure that disappears between the shoulder blades.
Stabilizator V3: Dorsal stabilizer in a solid mesh with limited vertical stretch. Includes MILLE GT line graphics and climaCode.
superFlat grippers: Ultra minimal grippers with an optimal stretch return to secure the shorts in place without any excessive pressure.
zeroWaist: A raw-cut, tape-reinforced edge for the smoothest transition possible between the body and fabric panel. More comfort with less pressure.
Reflective Accents: Small strips placed on the backs of the legs for added visibility.
RegularFit: Optimized for total comfort in the riding position, with a more relaxed cut than Assos' second-skin racingFit.

Great Shorts
It took me a while to get to Assos Shorts. I've tried many different brands over the years, some were good and some were not. I tried a set of Assos Mille bibs and had a revelation. The fit, comfort, quality of materials on what is the more affordable version of their product line is fantastic!
After such good luck with the bibs, I decided to try the GT Shorts for the days when Bibs may not work as well. These are just as good! durable and well made. Don't be afraid to make an investment in quality cycle gear. The initial cost is higher, but if you take good care of them, they will last years and years.
On a side note, being the middle-aged, average-built man that I am, I find that bib shorts do better for me. My 12-pack abs don't seem to work so well with regular shorts, so if you are on the border between shorts or bibs. Doing away with the waist band bunching up certainly makes riding more comfy.

Love the Look and fit of these shorts!
Always wanted these shorts as they are highly rated and they look great.
Well they did not disappoint as they provide great support and I love the feel and support
from these shorts. They were on sale so I am so glad I purchased them from my favorite bike
shop.

Surprise
Assos MILLE GT Shorts In size large had a surprise with the chamois that was not similar to their bib bought couple years ago. The chamois is way too thick in the front half compared to bibs. I use them under mtb riding shorts but the bulk of these was almost uncomfortable and unruly. Not sure about recommending but you've been warned.

Nice Shorts
I had wanted to try some Assos shorts (especially the Cento's) for awhile, so when BTD had a good sale I gave these a shot. The Mille GT shorts seem well made and are comfortable with a chamois pad that is thin and supportive. To me these are best suited for medium rides, say 60 miles. For longer rides I prefer my Castelli Superleggeras, also on sale from BTD, because I find the pad a little bit better.

Great shorts!
These are great shorts! Very comfortable chamois. The waistband doesn't roll. I used to prefer PI shorts, but these are my new favorites.

Awesome Shorts
A bit pricey but love these shorts and they're worth it. I have other Assos Mille shorts but somehow these are light. Short or long rides, these are the most comfortable out of the Pearl Izumis and Castellis I own.

Worth the extra cost!
I have owned many pairs of shorts, and this pair surpasses them all. I found myself wearing out cheaper shorts, sometimes within a few months, and decided to spend a little more on quality. I found it in this pair! The seat is incredibly comfortable. The waistband is quality as well and tapers to fit without cutting in.
NOT inexpensive, but I'll likely get more rides per $ than my other pairs.

Lightweight summer shorts
I like these, especially the blue color and they are cool for summer riding. However, I have the Assos Standard T Mille bibshorts which feel slightly better in terms of fit. Additionally, the chamois on these shorts feels just a tiny bit too bulky compared to the lighter pad on the bibshorts. Good shorts but maybe not as comfortable as their T Mille bibshorts.
