The ABUS Taipan combines the advantages of their road helmets with the requirements of the gravel lifestyle. With this gravel helmet, you can ride where the tarmac ends – and the adventure begins. This LED version includes a rechargeable Rear Light.

Features:

• Lower edge protection: polycarbonate (PC) outer shell covers the lower edge of the helmet and protects against scratches, impacts, and signs of wear and tear.
• Ponytail Fit: thanks to the opening in the height-adjustable adjustment system, the helmet is also suitable for long hairstyles such as ponytails, buns, or braids.
• Front Eyewear Port: defined recess on the front of the helmet to position glasses in a secure and aerodynamic holding position while riding.
• Acti Cage™: allows larger ventilation openings combined with high stability thanks to foamed-in structural reinforcement.
• Reflector Sticker: for better visibility in the dark.
• Forced Air Cooling: the ventilation openings are connected to each other via channels on the inside to guide incoming air through the helmet for maximum air circulation and a pleasant head climate.
• Rechargeable Magnetic Rear Light: attached to the back of the helmet using magnets for greater visibility. Charges via USB-C. IP44 rated — certified protection against solid foreign bodies larger than 1mm and against splash water.
• Four Light Modes: Steady, Power, Pulse, and Flash — selectable to match light and weather conditions. Operating time ranges from at least 4.3 hours in Power mode to at least 35 hours in Flash mode. Charging time approximately 1.5 hours.
• Zoom™ Spin Adjustment System: rotary wheel at the back of the head for individual adjustment to head size.
• Flow Straps™: aerodynamic straps for low flow resistance, less noise, and high wear comfort.
• Floating Pad: interior padding clicked into place via several attachment points for greater flexibility, better ventilation, and improved wear comfort.
• Push-in buckle: classic chin lock (three-pronged connection) for safe and practical strap handling.
