These are mostly a single layer of material, nicely trimmed on all edges. I'm not normally one to complain about tight shorts, but I tried a small first based on my measurements and PI's size guide, and they were really too tight, but the medium fits fine. I normally buy more premium bib shorts (Castelli), but PI is my favorite maker of jerseys and jackets, so I wanted to give these a try. I've had the non-bib Attack shorts for a while, and I like them, but I've seen the light and I'm using bibs exclusively now. The chamois is updated to be less bulky, but still just as effective (no fatigue after my last three hour ride), although it's still not as good as either level of Castelli's chamois (acknowledging that chamois effectiveness really varies for different people). Breathability is okay, but not excellent. The leg openings have been working fine for me, no issues.

I use these arm warmers between spring and fall, including cooler summer mornings or in the mountains. They are comfortable and even keep your arms warm in light rain, though they aren't waterproof. I like the left-right specific fit. I like to order a size smaller than what the charts might suggest, because I like a snug fit that will stay up after many uses. Even the size small has good length, which is not the case with some other brands. They may be a bit pricey, but I think they're worth it.

I finally wore through two pair of my older PI bibs. A few sesons old and maybe a couple generations removed from the new style bibs. First let me say the fit is great. Exactly what I expected from PI. What did change is the chamois pad is horrible. Completely changed in material, shape, and density. The old shorts were amazing for centuries and 12 hour ultra distance events. The new shorts are like 2 hours of comfort. The shoulder straps unfortunately are what most mid-to-high end bibs have gone to, which is a single ply of stretchy material that loves to bunch up. If these shorts last me the same as my last PI's it will be amazing. The price was right from BTD and I thank them for their great service and delivery time.

Really nice fabric, cut and quality with just the right amount of compression. As an older rider, I choose these for the higher scooped cut on the front suspenders. I strongly prefer the comfort of this on the bike over the current trend of a straight waistband that other bibs are using.
Great fit and comfort even in hot weather. Minor nit, I don't know why they don't have lay flat seams on the legs. At this price point it seems odd.
The pad is a bit thicker than I'm used to, but has proven comfortable. My best compliment is that I don't think about these bibs while I'm riding.
I'm 6'3" 190 lbs and the Large is a perfect fit.
