I bought a these to replace a 6 year old pair of Fox Digit whose useful life finally ended. I wanted a pair as close to that glove as possible. I've been using these glove for about 3 months and the Defend meets my expectations. The palm material is high quality, has no padding and provides a confidence inspiring grip even when the glove is soaked with sweat. The rubber bumpers on the fingers are minimal. I haven't had the need for that protection but I'm confident they'll do the job they're designed to do - just don't accidentally wipe your nose with the back of your hand it won't feel good. There is a small patch of micro-fiber on the back of the thumb for wiping mud off your glasses and the touchscreen material on the fingers work flawlessly. For sizing, I am on the upper end of medium. These gloves are tight but stretch enough that they are snug but don't cut off circulation. 5/5 would recommend if you want a lightweight minimal glove
Although I haven't tested these with as fall, I have worn them for several months, I own three pairs. The "chamois" is thick and does a great job of keeping the bottom from feeling sore after a couple of hours in the saddle. Might feel too thick if you're shuttling all day and don't put in a lot of saddle time. Quality is solid, no issues with seams, the thighs stays down with the non slip material very well. I will be purchasing another pair or two.
I bought these because the chamois pad in my Zoic liners just weren't cutting it as I increased my miles on the mtb. I figured even if these were made for racing, Fox would still do a better job at a mtb chamois. So far I've been impressed. The padding isn't bulky or even noticeable and I haven't experienced hot spots during longer spells in the saddle. Haven't crashed with them (yet) so I can't speak to how protective they are, but they seem like they'll be ready. Good luck fitting them in a drawer though, they don't fold due to the padding.
Great quality pads but sizing seems wrong or my arms are weird. I got the small as I hate pads that don't stay in place like my old g forms that were never in place when needed. Well small barley fix so retuned them and got medium. The medium were too large and fled like they would not stay in place. So I returned them and got the small again. The small feel tight but they stay in place and have saved me and my elbows plenty just wish companies size properly.
