So, the CADEX Max 40 came on my new Giant TCR Advanced SL 0. The bike comes at a premium and it is equipped with premium wheels. At 1250 grams for the set, their presance is notable. The carbon spokes give immediate windup and power transmission to the ground while still having great compliance over less than perfect roads. The MAX 40 rims are incredibly stable in a cross wind. The hubs are crisp to engage and come stock with ceramic bearings that roll for days. The only potential downside is the loud free hub, it sounds amazing, just loud.

The CADEX Aero Cotton Road Tire is all that a high-end cotton tire should be, compliant, grippy and fast. There also relatively easy to mount on the tubeless rim.
The squeeze is that the QC of handmade tires leave a lot to be desired.
I added extra sealant because the air loss was occurring at the sidewalls and the tread/sidewall joints.
First few rides, I lost 10 psi overnight. The tire outperforms these challenges. It's a 5-star tire for me.

I bought a brand new Domane and on the first ride, I had a puncture on the rear tire. And the "smurf juice" wasn't plugging it. So I had to use and glad I had them, a Dynaplug. The next day different route, again sprung a leak. At least this time the juice held. A week later same thing. You have to understand. I'm very easy on my equipment. Before this I had one flat in 12 months. Those Bon***** are trash. I've had very good success with Michelins in the past so I started shopping on BTD and came accross thses Cadex on sale. I researched them on bicyclerollingresistance.com and they got better marks than my Michs. So I gave them a shotand bought a pair. After 300 mi these are the best I've ever owned. I espically like the feeling in high speed corners. They inspire a lot of confidence.
