I bought a new chain, and I dislike the hassle of paint thinner method of removing the factory grease. So I thought that I would try this new product.

I used it as directed, and I guess it worked. But, I don't know how I would ever know if it actually did anything since the grease removal and the waxing is all one step. I ended up with a waxed chain, but I would have ended up with a waxed chain if the "StripChip" was just a placebo.

I guess it works if you really believe.

Holds everything you need for road riding. Secure once installed but I feel like I have to tighten it down occasionally, maybe because it's still new or maybe because it loosens on its own. Not easy to move from bike to bike. Not super easy to get things out once installed. It does seem highly durable and well made.

It's sleek enough for my roadie sensibilities.

For what it's worth, in +30 years of being a 'roadie', I'm not sure I've ever found a saddle bag that I would call great. But I can't bring myself to call this one great either and it's quite pricy.

It charges quickly and seems to maintain charge over time when not used. It's small and light and fits easily in the back pockets of my jerseys. While it doesn't inflate to 'my' 100%< at around 75PSI, it's more than effective. I love not dealing with cartridges any longer, though I carry one in my saddlebag as a backup. It does get a little warm when using, but not to a bothersome extent. Also great the other day when my tubeless setup sprang a leak and lost more air than needed to get home. I topped it off quickly and was on my way.

After 4 decades of riding and maintaining bikes, I viewed waxing chains as a solution in search of a problem. A sale and a YouTube rabbit hole made me give it a shot. Now I can't believe I waited this long to make the switch. Like tubeless, it's much more work up front, but makes your life so much easier in the long run. No more dirty hands and gear, much quieter drivetrain, and no more daily degreasing and re-lubing. Finally, I can enjoy the life of someone who doesn't care about their drivetrain - without destroying my drivetrain. I've only ever used Silca, as their products all work well, but this is the only way I'll ever lube a drivetrain again.
