I've purchased this same bib short twice before and found them to be pretty much perfect in comfort, fit, durability and design. After about 3,000 miles of wear the old ones started pulling apart at the seams where the chamois contacts the saddle. Even so I'd wear them under leggings in the colder months. Otherwise, after probably 200-300 rides and washings they were in good shape. The new ones I just bought were inexplicably about a half size smaller. Still fit, just snugger (no, it wasn't me getting fatter). I look at it as just a bit more compression. Anyway, these are expensive but I believe worth it.

I was a little worried about wearing this in hot humid East Coast weather when I saw how thick the material was compared to a high-end mesh jersey or undershirt. However, I've worn it on an average summer day on my commute--in the morning when it's humid and in the afternoon where the hot sun is shining down, maybe about 85 degrees--and it works well. As with most summer kit, it needs airflow to do its thing. I was comfortable while I kept moving or while there was a breeze. It has sleeves so of course I got hot sitting still as the humid air accumulates under the fabric. The sleeves are nice for keeping the beating sun off your skin though. My biggest gripe is the pockets...it's a loose fit (which in itself is fine) but it means my phone in the back pocket sits awkwardly against my back, which is uncomfortable. I think snacks or lighter things would be fine, but I'll probably have to find another way to carry my phone with this jersey on longer rides.

My third PI Quest bib short and for the price, they remain hard to beat. The fit is excellent--PI tends to be generous and I sized down from other brands I wear based on the online size chart and it was spot on. The chamois works for the rides I tend to do (up to 30 miles at a go) and so far, I can't complain. The thigh grip has been good so far, keeping the shorts where they need to be, the straps are comfortable and the panel above the waist gives good support to the core and lower back. I picked the Twilight and to be honest, the photo shows up as darker than it actually is--it's closer to a teal than dark blue in reality. But to my eyes, that was an upgrade--a nice change from my collection of basic black bibs.

Good jersey for those changeable Spring and Autumn days. It's a comfortable cut and easy to layer as called for. With a thermal baselayer and and a good jacket, it works for cooler days (7-12C/45-52F) while dropping layers will allow you to use comfortably on warmer (15-21C/60-70F) days.
