I've been training on this tire the last 3 year years. They are very predictable in the corners but tend to pack up a bit in the mud. My favorite feature is that the tread lasts a long time compared to some cross tires that wear out if you even think about riding them on the road.

I did manage to get this tire mounted up on the rear wheel of my cyclocross/commuter bike, and was very impressed with the off-road bite...outstanding traction and good traction on the road. But, the tire carcass is a bit like swiss cheese, running tubelss with sealant, the sealant would be bubbling out of a few dozen pinholes...never saw that before. I gave it a shot for a couple weeks and it got better and better, but after 2 weeks riding every day, to still have be completely flat on random mornings made me pull it off and re-install the prior, well-worn Vittoria XG TNT. Have to be able to trust my tires. The Vittoria on the rear lasts only maybe 2-3 months of commuting and training, perhaps 1000 miles. On the front that same tire model has lasted over 4000 miles and STILL has tons of tread left - that's amazing. Back to the drawing board for me. But for normal tubed setups, this tire would be an outstanding choice.

I've been using these tires for the past two seasons in the Sacramento Cyclocross series. Given their aggressive tread pattern they actually roll pretty fast in the hard pack. We haven't had too much mud the past two years, but in sandy loose corners out at Granite Bay they really hook up nice. We did have one peanut butter type mud course out at Lange Twins Winery, but the tires shed the mud pretty well. You can also run pretty low pressure without too much worry of pinch flatting. For the money, these cx clinchers are hard to beat.

Going on 4yrs. and still loving them. I ride fire roads and they hold very good while bombing down the trails. Never slip once, always predictable. I liked them so much I bought a spare for the front.

These have been my staple go to cyclocross tires for two seasons now. The are super fast and grip very good in corners. No issues when it comes to pinch flatting. I ride MTb trails on my cross bike regularly when not enjoying standard cross style riding.
