This is a beautiful high quality chain, unfortunately it doesn't shift very well with my Shimano Ultegra 6700 groupset. I want to love the Wippermann, but Ultegra and KMC chains shift better for me.

Shifting with a DuraAce derailleur and Ultegra cassette is very balky. I cannot adjust the cable to give smooth shifts in both directions. I had to resort to optimizing for upshifts and accept that I have to push the lever well past the single-shift position on downshifts. Even then, I often have to hold the lever for a couple of seconds before the downshift occurs. I'm going back to Shimano chain.

I couldn't be happier with a chain than with the Wipperman. I easily get 4-5K miles on them with regular cleaning and lube. I was told about the Wipperman from another Campy nut and after wearing out my original Record 10-speed chain I switched over and never looked back. The coupling is easy to remove and install and have used the coupler on other chains without a problem. I've also enjoyed the stainless steel after wet rides not rusting up. I have no complaints!

Gotta love Wipperman chains...the master link is a breeze to remove the chain for cleaning and they last and last. Super quiet!!

installed on bike with 11-26 sram red cassette and having problems with shifting and noise. not sure yet of long-term prospects.

Shifting is good. Install is easy with the quick link and I get 3000 miles easely

With the connex quick disconnect link, cleaning the chain is a snap. I run these on all my bikes, road and cross.

The 10SX is especially nice for cross where the chain is always seeing mud and water.
