Review by But it's me!
Having broken a few aluminum seatposts over the years, either through abuse or not, I was reluctant to try a carbon model no matter the claimed advantages of shock absorption and weight savings. Weight savings doesn't really matter to me as a recreational and commuter cyclist, so no comment on that. Installed it on my commuter, a Soma Saga using the appropriate carbon grease. I was both concerned and not concerned that the seatpost does not have a weight limit, since I'm a Clydesdale. The few reviews I saw never mentioned issues. No issues since 2022 of near daily use. I like to think it has resulted in a more dampened ride, but really not sure if I feel it. I wisely stand during rough patches and bumps, but almost always have if only to protect my rear end. Cost wise, this is definitely on the low end, so a good (relative) bargain.

I switched from a Thompson masterpiece to a whiskey carbon post. I added a little weight with this switch. I wanted to see what the difference would be. I would highly recommend this post to anyone. Good quality & carbon at a reasonable price. It looks great too.

the price is right. ride off road enough and something is going to break. you need carbon to soak up some of that shock.

Good carbon parts don't have to break the bank. Light, Strong, and reasonably priced.
