Better reinforcement for stem clamp area of steerer tube
I prefer to have 5-10mm of spacers above the stem. I needed a compression plug that would reinforce my carbon steerer tube to at least the bottom of the stem clamp area. This provides both safety and an even clamping force of the stem around the steerer tube.

This was a nice looking plug that I'm sure would work great. Unfortunately, it wouldn't fit my steerer tube - even though it was a 1 1/8' tube - so I had to return it.
