Review by Mike Rides Bikes
Have tried some of the other brands such as Sunlite and have gone back to Verdestein which seem to not only keep air better but also seem to have less issues with flats. A very reliable tube that I use in my Zipp 404 wheels without requiring me to use a stem adapter.

I do lot of bike lane riding. It seems to be the first place where glass and sharp objects end up and the last place that gets clean. I don't like fixing flats. These tubes are really tolerant of the junk, I love using them for that reason. The slightly higher weight gives me that much more training.

I bought these to use with my Vredestein Forteza Tri Comp Quatro tires - just because of the brand. I have to say, that they are quite decent tubes. I cannot say that they are any better than the less expensive, lighter weight, more generic tubes on BTD. But, they ARE lighter weight, and I do like them more than the cheaper tubes. Perhaps that's subjective, but I prefer them.

I bought these tubes over the less expensive option after calling the customer service number and determining that these are the only tubes they could assure me had a removable valve core-important since I self-put sealant in my tubes. Probably worth it to verify that this is still true if you need a removable valve core. The tubes are a nice robust thickness and I have experienced no defective units-I ordered 6 tubes, have used 3 and inspected the rest.

Great quality longer stem tubes that really last long. These are easy to change with and are a great value for the 80MM air valve stem. I store them because I can't get them in many places but never seem to use them up because they last so long.

Good quality tube, not the lightest, but tough, and that's important.

I was impressed with the quality and construction. I wanted an 80mm smooth valve so I wouldn't have to mess with extenders on my 54mm carbon aero wheelset and these were the ticket. They installed easy and true and after 200 miles(three weeks time) no issues. Easy to pump up and they maintain air pressure as well as expected. all smiles here.

I like smooth valve stems as they do not tear up my Silca pump head and this tube has that type. Reasonably light and holds up well.

I prefer the 'butyl' inner tube rather than latex. It heavier (which I prefer), and seems to hold air pressure longer than the latex type.

Vredestein tubes are made from high quality materials and are very uniform. I purchased these tube because I wanted to start using Stan's Tire Sealant on my road bike tires to reduce flats. To install Stan's Tire Sealant the tube must have a removable presta valve stem. Very few tubes on the market have that feature these do! I have a couple of hundred miles on them and I am very happy with them.

So far, so good. Not long enough for a long term review, but I've had problems at the valve stem with other tubes. These have held up well to high pressures and look well manufactured. If they perform over time I plan to use them as my go-to tube. I am also a big fan of smooth stems.

otherwise hard to find these tubes are available in long stems 60 & 80MM valves in a really top notch quality tube. No hassling with air pumps and extenders on carbon rimmed wheels.

No flats...done 500 miles. Work will with my Vredestein Gran Fondo Tires.

Installed a new tire and Vredestein tube at the same time. Forty-eight hours later, the tire was flat with no apparent puncture. Replaced the tube with a second Vredestein tube. Saved the first tube to search for the leak but couldn't locate it. Another forty-eight hours and the second tube was flat. I have been refilling it for the past ten days. Works fine except the air is consistently gone within forty-eight hours. I suspect the stems are faulty. Is this a common problem with these tubes or did I just get a bad batch?

Terrible purchased 2 both had flats within a week, both slow leaks from stem!

I have tried many different tubes but these seem to be more durable with the Vredestein Road Tire. Price was right too.

stem easily in a deep dish wheel. performs as expected

It's pretty much what everyone else has been saying about these tires. I've never been one to notice the subtleties in tires, but these are noticeably grippy. AND, no flats yet!
