I've only put 400 miles on these tires since purchasing them and I am quite pleased. They're incredibly durable and I have yet to get any flats. I will say putting these tires on my wheels was a nightmare. These tires were so tight and it was quite a chore to get them mounted correctly without pinching the tube. And I'm no slouch when it comes to changing tires and tubes having done that many times. But, now that they're on, and I have yet to have a puncture, I can't complain. Good tire, great price! That's all there is to it.

First of, keep in mind that i have only just installed these tires and have not ridden on them! But, the reason i am writing this review is because i read so many reviews before buying them that said they were a pain in the butt to put on the rims. I'm not sure if those people have never changed out tires before or what but I had absolutely no problem. It was actually easier then i thought it would be. I took my time and was really meticulous with the first tire because so many reviews said they pinched and popped tubes getting these on. I had no trouble with the first one and just threw the second tire and tube on like i would any other tire, quickly! No problems there either. They went on like a charm. Granted they were tight, but you just have to man-handle them in just like any other tire. Now i guess il just have to se how they ride ,)

Very good tire for day in, day out riding. Easily the equal to the Rubino Pro's except cheaper. Similar in rolling resistance, weight and handeling. Offers very good puncture resistance. Just clicked over 2500 miles on the these tires and only had 2 flats. One was a metal staple which would have punctured any tire and the other was a chunk of wood about 38 long by 1mm in diameter. Again, it would have punctured any tire. Very few cuts in the tread for as many miles on them. The tire sticks well in corners, allowing me to bomb through them. Much better than the Zaffiro Pro's. I use the 23's and haven't had any problems mounting them to Mavic Open Pros or Velocity A23's. I used to race and have been riding for 30 years. I have ridden on Contis, Vittoria's, Gommitalia, Hutchison, Specialized, Vredesteins, Michelins, Woblers and Clements. You could race on these if you had to. I consider this a slow year for me. I logged 3200 miles for the year so far. I was hoping to be at least 1,000-1500 miles ahead of that. Usually I log in 6,000 to 6500 miles per year. I would have to rate these as one of the better trainning tires out there.

I am 180 lbs, I Live in the North East and have been training with these tires for several months now. I have even completed races like Hell Of Hunderton and Tour of Battenkill with no flats. The mileage is around 1000. I will be picking up another set of these.
I too have picked up shards of gravel and glass with out any loss of pressure. If you run though suspicious material clear the tire...Just make sure you are wearing gloves folks.
Let's face it folks, rubber is just that rubber and it is not impervious no matter what the price. I have paid over $60.00 for a tire and trashed it in the first 50 miles...These tires are a good deal. I will roll the extra weight and be confident I will not be changing a tire on the side of the road while other ridersacers pass me and say ...That Sucks to be him!

I'm 6'1 215 and purchased these to go on my Bianchi Eros. They've been great tires and have served me well. I've had one puncture from a small piece of steel wire that would have cut through any tire. Otherwise, these have been awesome. I've got 900 miles on them now and have had them about 8 months. Couldn't be happier with the value of these tires.

Sorry but I had nothing but bad luck with these tires. I had two flats with a month of putting them on. The inner lip is incredibly difficult to guarantee that the tube and is correctly set inside the tire and the clincher rim. Had two tubes go gunshot on me at high pressure inside after I wasn't superhumanly meticulous about verifying that. Didn't have problems once I put a set of earplugs on and spent 10 minutes thoroughly inspecting the tiretube centimeter by centimeter repeatedly.
I was hoping that the Fiammantes would be somewgat similar as the Vred Fortezza TriComps that I love but they are nowhere near as good or reliable. I chucked the three Fias that I purchased after today's explosive flat on a downhill. Even though they are much pricier, the Michelin Krylions were much better to me. It would appear that you get what you pay for with Vreds.

I purchased my yellow Fiammante Duo Comp for the price alone! They were 1/2 the price of the cheapest tires that my local bike shops were offering. I am 64 years old and weigh 230 and just got two new knees installed....so I am just getting back into riding. I love the smooth center ridge which gives the tires a very silky ride on the straight-aways and they have been flawless and grip firm on fast turns. They gave this old fool the confidence to brake my own downhill mark of 27.9 mph to 39.1 mph the other day. And they make my 30 year old Pugeot look like a new $2000 high end racer. I have had several people come up to ask me about them and where I got them. They seemed to satisfy the needs of the serious racer on the first review and they more than satisfy me for my casual riding! I highly recommend these tires and ....Thank you to BikeTiresDirect for providing such a great deal!

I bought this tire as a training tire and have had 0 flats in the first 300 miles. I've even picked shards of glass out of the tread, but no tears, splits or punctures. I've also noticed these tires don't bleed much, still at 105 psi after the ride. If you're concerned about discoloration, I have the white stripe and although you have to be vigilant about cleaning, it still whitens nicely.
These babies are not that heavy either. A couple weeks ago before a race, I was putting on my racing tires I won't name, but are about 4x the price and noticed a fatal side wall puncture in the tire, and that's after only 100 miles. That tire went on my bike lab's wall of shame and I had no choice but to race in the Fiammante's. Man am I glad I did. The course was rough and as others were going for the wheel truck, I was at a steady 120psi.

I've been using the Vredesteins that I can get with the special deals (under $30) for about 5-6 years now and they've always been OK with me.

As an update to my September review, let me just say that these tires appear to be bombproof. All year long with my urban commute I have tended to get flats every few weeks, but so far I have not had a single flat with these, and I've even had to weave through glass that I figured there'd be no way I'd miss. (I hope I haven't jinxed myself.) They are a touch slower than my old tires, but they seem to grip better so it's worth it for the dark, wet, winter commute.

I got these to replace my racers with once the weather starts to get worse with the winter. As such, I haven't tried them yet, but they look as good as the pics and reviews I read led me to believe. If possible, I'll do an update once there are some miles on them.

Knock-knock-knock. That was me, knuckles on wood. I needed to to that before saying this I commute about 150-200 miles per week, right through a minefield of thorns, glass, and various other entities hostile to road tires where I live (Central California)...without a single flat since I started using them in early August. Seem to be wearing well, too. Durable, good handling, resistant to punctures, reasonably priced, come in colors...get 'em.
