I can not say I have had a lot of experience with tires, but what I have had with these has been good. 600 miles so far and no flats. They are hard to put on as one review mentioned. A road side flat will require some extra effort. For the money they are great. I am getting them again for my second bike. I think with practice I can get them on and off better.

I like the tires very much. For the price you cannot really beat them. They have worked well so far I have put about 160 miles on them this week and they are doing great. I was also very happy with the shipping time for them to get to me. I ride to work everyday and have a 50 to 80 mile ride a day on my bike. I would buy them again!

First off...I know there are better tires out there. These Vittoria Zaffiro's are the only tires I've ridden on mainly because they're the only ones I can afford. They're great tires that have good sidewalls and wear evenly. For the record, I ride a brake-less fixie so I'm always skidding. Skids are butter when I perform them, and they provide good grip overall. I plan on upgrading to the Randonneur once I get enough money, but for now I love my Zaffiro's. I ride 700x25c. I just bought a 3rd tire after my rear went bald a couple of days ago.

I just bought my second set for my 2007 Specialized Sirrus sport, which I use for commuting. The first set replaced the original set 700x28 that came with the bike. I put a 700x23 on the front and a 700x25 on the back--just for fun, this combo works great. I like the price and the quality of these tires, I don't expect to get more than 3,000 miles from each set. Just got tired of paying $25.00 to $35.00 for Specialized or Trek bottom feeders. These tires were actually recommended to me by the local bike shop, they used to carry this brand, but no more--the cheapest tire they had was a Bontrager trek for $25.00. Sure glad I found this web-site.

I ride a 1999 Hinault Wise around Portsmouth NH. It's a classic steel lugged road racer that I use for exercise and the simple joy of riding. It came with wired Vittoria Competition Zefir 19s. I could not find exact replacements so chose folding Vittoria 20s. I like them but lately had to look for more affordability and chose the Zaffiro 23s trying to keep the profile low. They just clear the seat tube so all is well. The solid black wall is less pleasing to my eye, but the ride is fine for training. The folding tires mounted so very easily. Have to toughen up my grip!

I am fairly new to road cycling after riding a rigid MTB with slicks for several years. I was looking for a good road tire that was not going to break the bank and also had some resemblance of tread as I do ride in a wet climate. I can say I am very satisfied with these 28mm model.
The seem to handle around corners fairly well and I have also yet to get a flat and that is with about 800 miles of urban riding. The only issue I seem to have is that the wire bead seems to very stiff and putting them on your tire can be tough.
If you are looking for a tire that will help you win races, look elsewhere. But, if you are looking for a tire that is well rounded for training and commuting, this tire will serve you well.

This tire replaced an OEM tire. Smooth riding and low resistance. Only draw back is it is a stiff tire and takes some effort to install. Otherwise perfect. It is a great value.

This is a good deal!!!! Cheapest on all the site that im looking for. On the 25mm wired its a little heavy. Race it downhill on a 45mph and dont be afraid on all corners coz its grip realy good.

I have about 1000 miles on the set w/no flats. Good tire for winter training, but a little harsh on the road feel. Looks like I will get 2000-2500 miles out of them, which is great for the rough roads I ride.

Replacing the exact same tires with 5000 miles on them.

We have some coarse chip-and-seal county roads here and these Vittorias help a lot. Installed very easily. Seem like a very good tire at a steal of a price. Recommended

I have used the Zaffiros as training tires and they work very well. They wear long, are puncture resistant, and are very grippy.

I got a pair of these for my neighbor who has been wanting to get into commuting by bike. He was running 23mm road tires and I was able to get these in a 25mm width that still fit within his rear stays (28mm tires just wouldn't fit). He hasn't had any flats in over a month of commuting 22 miles round trip several days a week and he says the added volume is nice on the surface streets.

Original equipment on my Felt Z85, they lasted over 5,000 towncounty road miles in SE Wisconsin. So purchased as replacements - no need to try something else.

I am a rec rider at about 180lbs, and this one rolls fine and corners ok for training and fitness riding that I do in the midwest. Mounted with no trouble, it is a correct sized 700 x 25 as my last set of the same size was smaller.

Solid basic tire, great for commuting or as a less expensive training tire for long miles and winter days. Good grip in the wet, wear well.

Used this as part of a vintage 10-speed rebuild. After about 100 miles, this tire has performed flawlessly. Smooth rolling, no puncture flats. Great value

The tires are very good for their price, i use them regularly for training on rough countryside roads and have never had a puncture yet. Ive rode over glass and many other sharp items without hassle.
I have these fitted to a GIANT DEFY 3 and a GIANT TRINITY COMPOSITE 1 and they work very well at high speeds ive done up to 63MPH downhill with them fitted.
Good points
1 very resistant to punctures
2 fairly good grip
3 cheap
Bad points
1 They wear out approximately after 600 miles

These are great all season tires. I rode all year on them without a single flat. I even had gouges in the center i guess from glass shards? still no flat. I bought anouther pair and will continue to use them as a training tire.
