Great tires, stable and strong

Hard to find a tire that is both this comfortable (I used the 28mm size) and strong, as it stable through corners and resistant to punctures. This one fits it all. This is my second set of these and I will probably continue to use them.

Thank you for your feedback.

My go to tire!

I am out for durable long lasting tires...not the lightest ones that a lot of weight weenies are looking for. No flats and long lasting. The price is right too! I throw these on for summer riding on my Pivot Vault. Love the 28's...they gobble up a lot of bumps.

Thank you for your feedback.

My New Favorite Winter Trainer

I just installed a set of Vittoria Rubino Pro Tech III 700x23 on my Cannondale CAAD10, pumped to 120 PSI. I've ridden a bit over 100 miles on this set so far and have been very happy with road feel, stability, traction, and overall performance. I'm not a fan of tread patterns on road bicycle tires, but this pattern is small enough to essentially be a slick.

I have been on early morning misty, wet rides and have had no problems with slipping, sliding, or other wet traction. The tires seem robust enough to handle rough surfaces, and my few forays onto potholes and chip and seal have been trouble-free.

A great training tire at a great price!

Thank you for your feedback.

It's ok. Just not for me

Nicely constructed. A good looking and riding tire. I put about 500 miles on them with little wear showing. But at 235 lbs and smooth to rough country paved roads, I was flatting too much. I ride 100 miles a week. Back to the Gatorskins.

Thank you for your feedback.

Smooth riding and durable

Didn't use this one yet, but have been using the Pro (28c) for a few years now. Only 1 or 2 flats, nice ride quality, easy to get on and off rims, without using a tire lever.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great tires!

I love these tires. Began riding Rubino Pro III's on my single bike. Supple, nice ride, and very durable. NEVER got a flat, even though at the end of life there I found a nice size hole in the tread. We put these on our tandem in 28s. Improved ride quality and, again, no flats. They roll and wear better than the Gatorskins we were riding. On the tandem, we tend to rotate tires back to front, since the rear wears so much more quickly. When they get too worn for the tandem, they get swapped to a single bike.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great tires!

I had the older version in 28mm on my '86 Miyata 710. While the 28 was fine on the rear, the front had less than 1mm clearance to the fork crown. 25s for the front from now on. Anyway, back to the review. I rode them for several hundred miles in the Phoenix area - and down AZ79 through Florence and down to Tucson. Lots of stuff on the side of the road that would cause flats like LOTS of broken glass, steel-belted radial tire wires in addition to the 'normal' cactus thorns. No flats! and yes, I weigh in at a bit above 200 pounds. I'll definitely buy these again!!!

Thank you for your feedback.

Good tire. Just not for me.

Price is right. Great ride, fast and supple feel. But many flats in the 500 miles I used them. Wear was ok. Rural smooth and semi-rough roads and I'm a heavy guy 230 lbs. I thought I'd try something different then Gatorskins. Mistake. back to Continental. If you are a lighter rider and stick to smooth roads, these might just work for you.

Thank you for your feedback.

First time riding pro tech 3 but good tire so far

I currently am using the rubino pro tech 3 on the front wheel of my road bike which I use for trainning and some triathlon racing. So far the tire has worked well, however I am interested to see how long the tire wear lasts. That is what I am looking for in a training tire, is the longevity of life and then performance.

Thank you for your feedback.

Good Commuting andor Winter tire.

I use this for my winter tire, which translate to rain tire in the Pacific NW. I found it very flat resistant and I've also noted that little rocks or pieces of glass don't tend to stick to it as some other brandmodel tires I've used. I think that this may be due to the fact this tire has actual tread. My one criticism of this tire is that when climbing a hill ( 6% grade) in the rain I can feel the tire lose a bit of traction. Not so much that it breaks loose, but enough you feel it. Arguably this isn't a great quality for a rain tire, but it's so flat resistent that I'm ok with the compromise.

For the record, I'm using the 700C x 28 Version and the ride is quite good and the tread seems to be pretty durable. I probably have 1000mi on my current set and haven't noticed any significant wear.

Thank you for your feedback.

Good winter tire

I ride the 700 x 25 c tire in wet winter conditions. It's a good tire with good puncture protection and good grip in wet and dry. For a 150 tpi tire they ride a bit hard but if you lower the tire pressure you will get a fairly good comfort from the tire. The rolling resistance is medium. The tires have 1700 km. and still no sign of wear and cuts and still no punctures so the durability of the rubber is very good. With 29,95 euro tire i find them a little expensive for a Rubino Pro tire but overall you get a good quality tire for the price!

Thank you for your feedback.

Good training tires

I'm running 23s on my road bike and 28s on my cross bikefast commuter. Maybe 2500 miles on the 23s and no flats. I switched the front and rear tires and probably have another 500 - 1000 miles before I switch them out. And I'm a big guy who rides hard. Essentialy a Rubino pro with better sidewall protection so you can ride them on gravel a bit. A nice, higher-performing and more supple alternative to Gatorskins and similar.

Thank you for your feedback.

Good ride, great grip, averagel life

Bought a couple of these for fast rides. Have about 2000k on the rear which is pretty thin. Got one flat slow leak from a goathead thorn while in Colorado. Noticed the carcass is getting thin, but probably has another 500k left.

Not as longlasting as Armadillos but lighter and more supple.

Highly recommended. You can use a 28 on the back and a lighter tire on the front.

Thank you for your feedback.

Excellent Tires

These tires are an excellent value for riding in poor conditions. I use the 28s on my cross training bike. Great traction and handling. Highly recommended for people looking for a heavy duty off-season tire.

Great compromise between protection and road feel

I'm a long distance rider that hates flats. I've used tires that prioritized flat protection at the expense of cornering and comfortable ride. With the Rubino Pro Tech III you can have both.

Thank you for your feedback.

Excellent tire for my winter bike

This is an excellent wet weather tire that also has great punture resistance. I have not experienced a puncture with this tire in approximately 500 miles on some pretty bad roads littered with lots of debris. It also seems to cut less than the Conti 4-Seasons I have used for years and have now replaced with these. Add a softer ride to these characteristics and you have a winner for Portland's wet weather.
