I have been cycling many many many years, have used many a different tires and I have never got 4000 miles out of any tire. so i cant believe this at all!!! I cant even recall getting 2000 miles out of a tire, maybe close at 2000. im only 5'6 and 165lbs. but these are a great buy for the the money.

Trying to think back over 40 years of riding and many brands of tires and I think this is probably the best tires I have ever bought, even better than anything Conti ever has made including GP4000's and for less money than GP4000's! The roll as fast as leading tires and feel very nice on the poor quality roads I ride on here in northern Indiana that are cracked and cratered or chip and seal surface, though I am riding on the larger 25 tires. After over 4,000 miles on the tires they're still going strong and never had a flat or even a cut, the cut thing may be luck considering the trashy streets I ride on, I don't know but I know this I'll be buying another pair when these wear out and see if my luck holds out. I think it's amazing that the only other tire that held up as well as these was the much heavier Specialized Armadillo All Condition tires, and the Vittorias weigh over 300 grams less, handles far better, and ride way better.

The Rubino Pro Slick offers a good ride, low rolling resistance, fairly light at 240 g, very good grip, above average cut and puncture resistance, and good durability into a median price range tire that really has no faults. The more expensive Vittoria's use higher TPI casings but otherwise aren't much better and cost much more. I like the Continental Grand Prix 4000 series if you want a step up but will pay more. Otherwise these are a standout in its price range and way better value over a Michelin Pro series which is not as durable.

Tire is alittle pricey but good quality. Tires held up great at the recent 5boro 40mi bike tour and road great over the rough roads of NYC.

My previous bike had Continental Ultra GatorSkins and Specialized Armadillos because I sought maximum puncture protection -- I dreaded getting flats because I didn't really know how to fix them and wanted to avoid them at all cost.
These tires gave new life to my bike -- it removed a lot of the dead weight feel of the ride. They roll smoother, corner pretty well, and do great even in wet conditions. Puncture protection is decent for California roads. The only flats I've had are due to running over things that no tire would protect against.
I get about 4,000 miles on the front and 2,000 miles on the rear. I don't rotate my tires (too lazy). These are comparable to Michelin Pro4 Service Course tires, and between the two, I'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference. The Michelins tend to show squaring off when they're approaching their end-of-life for me, whereas it's harder to spot on the Rubinos.
