So far the quality of the cost and the tire has been great. My plan is to add a new front tire to my 2008 carbon fiber Giant Bike.

I'm riding on my second set of Vittoria Rubino Pro II Road tire. The last set lasted well over a year with at least 2000 miles on them. I love the roll factor I get with Vittoria Rubino Pro II Road tires. My riding buddies marvel how I can be coasting while they're peddling just to keep up. I highly recommend the Vittoria Rubino Pro II Road tire for anyone serious about road cycling. I know I will buy another set from biketires direct in about a year because they offer the best prices around.

I've been using Vittoria Rubino 25s as my primary training tire for a couple of years. Started using them mainly for the price, as they have been much less expensive lately than comparable Michelin and Conti tires. The Rubinos roll very nicely, are reasonably flat resistant and long lasting. I recently bought some Rubino 28s due to my great experience with the 25s, but was disappointed to find that they were much narrower than billed. The 28s measure about 26 mm wide on my Open Pro rims, whereas the 25s measure a true 25 mm. The 28s are noticeably cushier riding, however, compared to the 25s and are relatively light weight for a 28, which is not surprising since they aren't really 28s. BTD please start selling some true 28s - Conti 28s measure closer to 26 mm as well.

I've been using the 25C as my winter training tires for years. I regularly get 2000 miles out of them (typically rotate them between 1000-1200 miles), great flat resistance, and work pretty well in the wet with the tread pattern. I'm 175lbs and run 90psi front and 100psi rear on wider carbon wheels. Totally happy with these tires and how they feel and always seem to get a good price from Bike Tires Direct - buy a couple pairs when they're on sell - you'll be glad you did.

I originally purchased these tires for winter training but eventually left them on the bike year-round. I race on tubulars, but even for races, these are now the tires in the wheel van. Most all-season tires achieve their all-around functionality through small compromises in every direction and this one is no exception. However, the Rubino Pro II is a perfectly legitimate racing tire (light(ish), low rolling resistance, sticky cornering) that doesn't cost a fortune and lasts ages. It is also remarkably puncture-resistant. I'm now on my fourth set. The only time I flatted one was when big piece of glass sliced the sidewall, which would have killed any tire out there. I especially like them in the 25C size for gravel road and winter training. The additional rolling resistance of the subtle file tread pattern means additional braking and slick-hill climbing resistance, which I much prefer to a tire like a Michelin Pro4 or the notoriously slippery center section on the Vittoria Open Pave. I haven't ridden the Michelin Pro4 Service Course Grip, but it looks promising, although I'm evangelical now about the wider, 25C tires and the Michelin only comes in a 23C.
This tire isn't fancy, but it more than gets the job done. And considering it costs a fraction of a serious racing tire, it is hard to beat at the price point.

Great tire for riding in the spring! Rain or road dirt it holds up for the money. No need to buy race tire when this will work just fine. Always rotate the tires every 300 miles or so and it will last..

The Rubino II has been a staple of my training and early season racing for more than 15 years. It's not as fast as the Open Corsas, but it's a lot more durable!

Not tested in rain yet. Shows no wear after a few weeks moderate riding. I am about 170 lbs and like to stand. Running about 105-110 psi with latex tubes. The tread center is a textured slick, which is how most tires end up after riding them for a while. I hope it wears longer because of the solid tread center. Using 25mm mounted on rear wheel. Front tire is 23mm of lighter design.

I ride 4000-5000 miles per year. I have gone through many different make s and models and I found the Rubino pro to be my favorite. Good weight, tough, and extremely long lasting. Just bought my third pair.

Great all around tire, I never had a flat so far with 5000 miles on the thread. Perfect for such races like Battenkill.

I have ridden Vittoria Rubino Pro 2's on my road bike for several years AND because I liked them so much, I bought them for my fixed gear as well. I am very happy with these tires. I can't exactly say how many miles I put on them, but the ratio of miles to flats is definitely respectable. These are definitely worth trying out. The ride quality is not too harsh on 23c. Cool colors too.

Don't fear the 28c size, as it actually measures about 26.5mm at 100psi. It's also light, mine were about 250 grams, each. This is a great tire, and at close-out pricing of $35each, it's a steal. I wish I could buy 10 of them...in fact, maybe I will.
This tire has been durable and comfortable for tarmacgravel adventure rides. Seems surprisingly fast for a 'big' tire. No complaints, just with the newer Rubino Pro III was available in a 28c.

Can't miss with these tires in terms of performance training. Many a tube has gone to its final resting place while these tires just keep rollin on. You won't be disappointed. If you like ridding hard and long, this is your tire.

I had been using Michelin Krylions. I'm a bigger guy at 200 lbs. and find a 700X25 tire very comfortable. I was having a hard time finding the Krylion in that size. I bought 10 of these Vittori Rubinos for my training and racing in this year's 2009 2-man RAAM. The 700X25 Vittoria is much lighter than the Michelin in that size. During 8000 miles of training this year on these tires, I had no flats! During RAAM I rode a little over 1500 miles in just over 7 days and had only 1 flat. These tires have a fantastic ride, wear very, very well and seem nearly bullet proof. I'm sticking with these and not going back to Michelin. We set a new RAAM record in the 2-man, 50-59 age division and these tires did the trick for me. Love 'em!

I've been using these tires as everyday training tires and for the weekly club races for the past 2 years. I've also use them on occasion in criteriums and road races where the road conditions are less than ideal. The handling is predictable and I find them to be very duarable as well. They can take quite a beating. IMO they are a good choice for trainingracing. They are not the lightest tire out there, but who cares.

Great roller and plush ride. I only wish the side wall was more rigid. That is why I use this as trainers. Good product for the price!
