I've been using the trail version on the front of my bike with a Martello on the back for several rides. This makes for a quick and crisp handling ride on flow trails in dry conditions. Cornering grip is excellent and predictable. I have found the trail sidewall to be very sufficient for my 185lb riding weight (150mm trail bike). The feel is supple and composed. I've been running the Mazza as low as 21psi up front and the Martello as low as 23psi in the back, same casing. Granted, I don't see a lot of sharp rocks on my trails. I would say the casing is similar to Maxxis EXO+ or better for toughness. I'm thinking I might move the Mazza to the rear for wet conditions and put something meatier up front, or even another Mazza in back. I really like this tire!

I live in Colorado and ride predominantly loose over hard trails. Always loved the Maxxis DHR II front and back for their traction and easy transitions. The problem is they are expensive and the knobs wear quickly (EXO+). The Mazzas are like a DHR tread pattern with taller knobs, especially on the corners. Makes transitions confidence inspiring and these tires have impressed me with their durability (not a strong trait in previous Vittorias), and overall performance. These tires do not disappoint

Great tire for trail riding in loose soil or rock. I use at as a front tire is VERY similar to Maxis DHF in tread pattern. Great fall/winter tire to bite through new fallen leaves.

I typically run a Kenda Pinner or Maxis DHF 2.5 up front. I pulled the DHF off and mounted the Mazza on. After a couple rides, I am really liking this tire! It rolls fast for how aggressive it is, it's relatively light (935g for trail casing on my digital scale), rails turns, and breaking is quite good. I have a Martello on the way which I want to try on the rear...we will see :-) So yea, buy one! You'll be surprised how good it is.

Switched from the Maxxis DHF to these tires. excellent on the mix of terrain we ride in Northern California, from red clay to decomposing granite they keep traction and clean out well in the muck. Plus who wouldn't want their last name on their tires!

I used this tire for technical riding and enduro racing which it's intended for. I exposed the casing on the sidewalls after 3 rides and put 2 holes in the sidewall. This tire claims alot but just doesn't deliver the goods.

Best overall tire I have used, amazing grip in all conditions, corners like a beast. Tread wear overall has been good so far. This is now my go to tire for mixed conditions front and rear.
