Is the Corsa N.ext G2.0 TLR with it's nylon casing more durable that the Cross G2.0 with cotton casing?

After rapidly going through 2 sets of my favorite Vittoria 2.0 speed TLR tires that had succumbed to unrepairable damage from a massive amount of road debris this summer, I wanted to try the new nylon cased Corsa N.EXT G 2.0 TLR tires. My experience seems to indicate they are no better than the original cotton casing 2.0 tires. Another, more exasperating feature I noticed is, even though Vittoria claims these tubeless ready tires to be more air tight than the regular cotton cased tires, they leak air through extreme porosity of the nylon casing. Why this is, I don't know, but the cotton casing tires on my wife's bike don't leak as much as these nylon cased tires do on my bike. I check this after I mount a new tire by inflating the tire and spraying it with soap solution to verify that the Stan's sealant is doing it's job, which is good in the rim/tire area, but funny enough, the air bubbles are happening all over the tread and sidewall areas of the tire. Now, I'm back to having to re-inflate my tires every day, just like my tubulars of years ago, to keep 75 lbs. PSI. And, these leaks seem to never fill with sealant. Weird. Now, I'm on my 2nd rear N.EXT, we will see if it will hold air. It was an experiment, after all, and maybe my 1st set of N.EXTs' were defective. I want to believe these tires are better, especially for the high price they are asking for them.

Thank you for your feedback.

Best tire ever

Very tough, low rolling resistance, and the 700x30s are easy to install tubeless. No flats since I started using these tires about 3 years ago.

Thank you for your feedback.

Smooth rolling

Smooth rolling tire, but I wish it was more durable. With all the debris on the roads in PDX I've gone through quite a few of these this fall.

Thank you for your feedback.

Love these new tires from Vittoria.

for years I've ridden the Vittoria Rubino Control 2.0 and liked them, but when I went tubeless I switched to these tires. they are fast, good control, and comfortable to ride.

Thank you for your feedback.

Upgrade from Pirelli

Replaced a set of pirelli p zeros with these. Very happy with the switch. Improved puncture protection with no downside. Highly recommended.
