Very Nice Tire

I moved up from the Rubino Pro to these and you can for sure feel a difference between the two.

A few things I noticed about these tires.

1. They feel like riding on a cushion of air compared to the Rubino Pros, these tires roll exceptionally smooth

2. They are very twitchy on a Tarmac, so I would imagine any type of race-style bike will feel the same way. If these tires hit anything (cracks, pebbles, dips, sticks/twigs, or anything that contacts the rolling surface, these tires will grip that item/object or terrain.

3. They HATE any type of dampness or water, the moment these get wet, they get really slippery and do not get any better until the tread dries off, if there is any dampness, they do not hold well at all.

4. They feel fast, as in the peddling response, and the feel of the road just seems more responsive.

I have only ridden about 110 miles on these tires since installation (due to LA weather). I have averaged 17.6 miles per mile with bursts of 27mph, I am looking forward to warmer weather to see if I can beat last year's average speeds of 18.9mph with bursts of 32mph, as these tires just feel a bit more in them with speed and stability. Curious to see how long they will last; I am guessing around 1200 miles.

Highly recommend

Comfy, fast, sturdy.

Former racer/commuter/tourist, I switched to these tires about 3 years ago. After years on Conti's 4000s and Gatorskins, Clements, Vredesteins. These G2's (700x25) get good mileage (155# rider). It's the comfort that astounds; smooth over very junky urban roads, think nonstop holes, cracks, bad patch jobs. I inflate them to 65-F and 72-R. No flats. Okay, I'm careful. Before group rides I inspect and remove any tiny pieces of glass (rarely find them!) because I hate flats. I use Swiss tweezers, strongest and pointy-est available. On our smooth county roads I boost the pressure to suit the distance, the highest I've used is 80-R. Still very smooth owing to supple sidewalls.

Ease of mounting: 9 out of 10. Check this out: The inside of the rim is convex, meaning it has a slightly smaller diameter in the middle than at its inside edges. First inflate tube just enough to give it a soft shape. Then install the tube completely inside the tire. Next, completely mount one side of tire on the rim, with valve at the tire label and tire label at the rim label (for ease of finding valve at next inflation. Okay, it looks cooler too). Then starting at the valve begin to mount the second side of the tire. Work it onto the rim half way around -- to the left of valve and the right of the valve. Then push valve gently in toward the tube to free it from beneath the tire beads (this prevents tube from being pinched and going flat when finally taken up to full pressure). As you continue mounting the second second side of the tire, squeeze both sides of tire -- starting at the valve -- toward the middle of the rim channel. This will loosen up the tire as you work around and get to that last tough bit to thumb onto the rim. (Because the tube has shape it will be protected inside the tire and will not be pinched.) Hope this helps anyone who struggles getting that last bit of tire onto the rim.

Low rolling resistance for speed and high traction for cornering.

I've been running Vittoria tires on my road bikes since they started offering "open tubulars." The thin, high thread count casing makes a very supple tire that rolls fast and grips confidently in the corners. The new G2 graphene reinforcement makes them more cut resistant without offsetting the casing advantage and gives amazing durability for a soft, high performance tire.

Nope. Can't Wait to Take Them Off

Vittoria Corsa Graphene. These came as standard on a new BMC SLR01 I bought last month. I ride a lot, as in 400 miles a month. In the last WEEK I have had a rear flat from a tiny splinter-sized sliver of metal, and a second flat last night from a tiny piece of glass on SART. I now have a gouge in the tire that I can't trust.

I know bad luck happens, and that we all unfortunately get flats. I have just never had two flats so quickly after going to a different tire. Perhaps it's just misfortune, but I am going to stay away from these and go back to my GP5000s which I buy here on BTD.

Fast, smooth and fun!

For context, I'm a old guy (56) and, as of a few years ago, was a State and Nat'l champ racer as a masters. I'm not as fast as I used to be but these tires (and latex tubes) make me feel fast! Not as supple as tubulars but close, very close. I ride these from April to October and I live in the PNW. My only gripe, and it's petty, is that I'd like them to have the puncture resistance of a winter tire. They don't, but they are pretty dang good. I'd give them a 5 star rating if they were perfect. To be fair, I've bought 7 of these over the last two years (I have 3 bikes I ride regularly) so I don't think the suck. Get them with a set of latex tubes and you'll be faster. I promise. And, yes, I'll buy these again, and again...

So supple, and puncture flats 4 out of 5 times.

700c x 30 tire size. Nice ride quality, but susceptible to punctures. I've gotten flats 4 out of the 5 first rides on these tires. Glass, staple and mystery road debris causing puncture/cuts. Would not recommend.

Such A Nice Ride!

When my usual go-to tires were discontinued, I had to start shopping for a replacement. I read the reviews of the Vittoria Corsa G2.0 and saw that people either loved them or hated them. When I saw reviews that said they were a fast tire, I decided to give them a try. I have had these tires on my bike for two months now. My usual ride is about thirty-five miles on city streets. So far, the tires have performed flawlessly. I have not yet had one flat. The ride is comfortable and smooth. You can hear that smoothness if the wind isn't blowing in your ears. When I had the tires on for a few weeks and knew that I loved them, I bought a second pair to have ready when the need arises. If you want speed and comfort, these tires are for you!

Just fine so far 2K miles

Used Vittoria Open Pave for many years. Was usually able to get 4K miles from a pair. Now that they are discontinued , these look like as as the Open Pave. One flat in 2K (pinch flat) and one small cut in tread-put tube patch inside just to be safe even though the cut did not go through. Rotated at 1600 miles and they look like they should be good for well over 3K miles.

Yes they are a little spendy but overall I believe well worth the expense.

Quality even an casual/amatuer cyclist will appreciate

One needs only get out a caliper to appreciate the quality of these tires. I am on my second set and note that the 25mm are accurately sized but also thinner than another tire that were supposedly 23mm. The shape of the tire, with something of a flat profile on the surface touching the road makes for stable cornering at speed. The tires handle well even when I over-inflate slightly more than usual and ride on pock-marked roads, they do not perform as stiffly as some other brands. While I have looked at rolling resistance studies of tires for years, this is the first tire in which the performance on my own bike is noticeable. I found the slight crown eroded on the back tire at about 1500 miles in a way that changed performance, which suggested it may be time to rotate if not replace the tires. It was also about 1,500 miles that I had three flats in quick succession, but I rotated and continued to use the tires, noting a slight diminution in handling and cornering but with no subsequent flats.

They are priced similar to many high performance clinchers and so competitive cyclists are unlikely to balk at the price. Mounting the tires may challenge some (and exhaust thumbs), but your effort will be rewarded. I ride a road bike close to 150 days a year and encourage any cycling enthusiast to invest in the ride quality these tires provide. If you find them on sale, buy a few sets and keep riding.

Smooth as silk and durable

My 3rd year of buying these tires to replace 12 months of wear. I was a 12yr Conti Grand Prix user, but joyfully changed to these tires with concerns over durability that never materialized. I ride on a ton of chip-sealed pavement, and these 25mm tires absorb the tiring and painful hi-frequency "buzz" from your butt and hands, versus Conti's and VIttoria Rubino's. If you are looking to increase comfort, these tires will improve that and are plenty durable against road debris.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great riding tire with no problem getting on/off rim.

I have about 1000 miles on these tires. Mostly smooth roads, but also some chip seal. 700x25 mounted on Zipp 303 clincher, 90-94 psi, butyl tubes. I will probably remount with latex tubes, but first wanted a fair comparison to previous tire. The ride is noticeably softer (comfortable) and sure handling than the top of the line tire from the German mega tire manufacturer that I was riding previously. Very stable at high speeds. This 320 tpi thing seems to be for real. So far I have not flatted and tread wear rate seems to be pretty normal. I had no problem mounting these tires to the rims without using tools. I also tried removing a tire after reading another review that claimed it was difficultimpossible. I used one plastic lever just to get it started, then finished up with hands only. No problem. Maybe the reviewer who had problems was a victim of rim-tire non-compatibility. I used to find combining Campy alloy rims with Michelin tires to be problematic. Who would have suspected? Anyway, the bottom line is these tires offer an exceptional ride, seem to hold up just fine, and if purchased when on sale, worth the cost.

Not very durable

The tire seems fast, however I ran over a piece of metal about 100 miles after mounting this new tire. Unfortunately, the tire was slashed and left me at the side of the road. It's not exactly the tire's fault, but the experience has caused me to go back to my Continentals that I've put thousands of miles on this year without issues.

Cons

- it's not free

Great tire, balance of speed & comfort

After going through several tires in the 26-30mm range the Corsa 30mm is by far the smoothest rolling tire I've tried. Either I'm improving or the tires have also bumped my long ride average by another 1-1.5mph. My only question will be the longevity of life but 500 miles in and looking good!

Light, fast, not the most durable.

Rolling speed is great. Tires are light weight and few smooth as well. Given that, it's not a suprise that they're not the most durable. I've had pinches and a flat due to road debris that sliced right through the tire. Would definitely recommend if you ride smooth and clean roads. If you're on rougher roads or somewhere with lots of debris I'd look elsewhere.

Read the Label

I've run these at less than the recommended psi and they felt sluggish and wore down super fast. I read the sidewall and pumped them up and it was awesome. I've since had a few sets of these and they're great. They still wear a bit fast and the sidewalls stain easily but their ride is worth it all.

The feeling of rubber is supple.

It's a great tire. It feels like supple rubber, and it responds well to different psi for different conditions, rides, and attitudes. It wears, but it also varies. I haven't had a flat yet. I've ridden others like this til the death without ever flatting. Depends where you live and the idea of luck.
