With the improvements made in clincher wheels and tires over the last 20 years I can not imagine why anyone would choose to ride tubulars. I got a great deal on a pair of Zipp carbon tubular wheels and decided to give it a try again. OK, now I remember why! These are the best riding tire I have ever been on, with zero problems or flats. Rough and harsh NC roads, steep climbs and descents, cold weather and summer heat, no problems.
Fantastic tires!

I bought but haven't used these, and got a great price due to price-matching from BTD (thanks SO MUCH for that, BTD!) But since BTD asked me for a review, I will share that the 3 tires I bought look beautifully made, not slapdash in the least - would we expect something less than that from tires handmade in Italy (ah, Italy, mother of my three bikes)? I chose these after having read MANY reviews from 4-5 websites (my habit is lots of research before I buy!), emphasizing puncture resistance, engaging springiness, and general high quality of workmanship. Soon these will be put to use on one of the vintage wheelsets I have boughtshall buy to glorify my two '70s Colnagos and '86 Wilier Triestina. Conti clinchers, move over!

Excellent tire.

Comfy and better wearing than Vittorias. Use them on Envie 6.7s my only gripe is that the cotton taping doesn't extend as high as Vittoria which makes mounting the front difficult to center as the 26mm width of the rim hides the ochre color of the glue covered cotton casing.

All around the best tubulars I have ever ridden. Thousands of miles without a flat and great road feel.
Only negative, it would be wonderful it they came with a longer stem so an extender wasnt needed.

Having ridden only the Arenberg and Gatorskins for the past 3 years, I've had fewer flats with the Arenbergs.

Mounted the 25mm Veloflex Arenbergs on Rolf VCX alloy tubular wheels for an incredibly smooth ride. Love them. An excellent training tire.

I have ridden these arenberg/roubaix tubulars for about 4 years now. I get around 6-7k miles from the fronts and 3-4 on the back tires, and have only had one flat in 5 years and many miles. They ride very smoothly, and mount easily. They grip and last better than the similar vittoria tires I've bought, and the 25mm carcass means I can air them up to 85-90 and have a smooth ride.
Doesn't get any better unless you pay for FMB etc. .

After years of using tubulars, I'd been on Veloflex clinchers for a couple years. They seemed almost as good. Then I went back to these Arenbergs. I'd forgotten how nice the ride is on tubulars. The rough, crappy roads that were terrible on clinchers (even at low pressures) were OK again on these tubulars. They reminded me of the great ride provided by Clement Criterium Setas back in the 70s.
