Not often I get to click on 5 stars for overall rating AND value. I have been riding Time ATAC probably since they hit the market. These plastic body ones get the job done and are lightweight enough to use on both my mountain bike and road bike. I am 71 years old and have some mobility issues due to knee replacement and ankle fusion. The "Easy" cleats that are now included are working perfectly with my limitations. Easy in and out but hold firmly while riding. I have probably owned a dozen pair of Time ATAC pedals over the decades on my fleet of bikes, and I have never had one break or fail, even with all the rock bashing that happens mountain biking. I have been riding the plastic body ones on my gravel bike for a couple years and now on my mtn bike. No problems so far. All the critical parts are steel, so don't let "plastic" scare you away. Highly recommended.

Love time pedals for durability, maintenance and ease of in and out even muddy. Have them on most all of my bikes.

I have used Shimano XTR and speedplay frogs. I find the Times work just as well for gravel bike racing and are a loghter ledal option and cleat system works well, even in muddy conditions.

Best pedals out there in my biased opinion but save some money and go with the XC 8 ones. Hard to justify the price difference between the two.

Best pedals ever

I have converted all of my bikes to Time ATACs. During cyclocross season, these things take a beating. I have never broken one, and I have one set with four full CX seasons, and they still spin smooth. I have seen quite a few broken egg beaters, and SPDs just don't clear the mud.
They are a little heavier than other alternatives.
