I upgraded from an Eagle GX to the electronic Eagle X01, and the installation process was straightforward. I took my time and completed the swap in less than 30 minutes. I experienced some issues with shifting gears on the Eagle GX due to the wide swing arc that my thumb had to do while the other four fingers were on the grip. At the time, X01 wasn't much different from the Eagle AXS. I would like to thank you for offering a great price and providing a smooth transaction.

You don't NEED AXS...but once you have it, there is no going back. I work in technology so I definitely appreciate innovation and products that greatly improve the user experience. I am fortunate to be able to purchase this upgrade kit, and fully acknowledge that even at the discount BTD is offering it at, it is very much a luxury spend. But wow it's a game changer. I just applied for a home equity line of credit so that I can outfit my road and gravel bikes with this e-bling. Kidding. When I first saw AXS come out a couple years back, I figured there was NO WAY I would ever own it...just can't justify that kind of cash over a mechanical set. I was wrong. The shifting is UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE. On my first ride, I had some issues with indexing that I literally fixed on the fly. I think the best part is being able to shift a bit more effectively under load. And if you're wondering it will work FINE with a Shimano crankset and 12 spd chainring.

Had a crash, bent the cage on my mechanical X01, it still worked but ticking noises weren't bearable after long rides. Found the AXS kit on sale and was a great deal. Had doubts on electronic groups but shifts are crisp and quick. Moreover, the derailleur itself protrudes less than the mechanical version and seems to be a little more robust. Expensive stuff but great on sale.

I have finally gave up on cable actuated shifting on full suspension. especially long travel, the cable routing is just too much to deal with. this went on my Ibis Ripmo that had XX1 mechanical. i have XX1 axs on my Blur, and X01 transmission on my Pivot. I like the shifter in this upgrade the most! And it shifts just as well as the XX1. If you have 12 speed eagle already and the cash this is a great upgrade.

Upgraded my Trek Farley 9.6 from mechanical to Eagle AXS. Extremely easy install and flawless shifting; I can�t ask for anything more.
