I have used nothing but SRAM chains, derailleurs and shifters for many years now. The perfect mix of all 3 makes for perfect, crisp shifts that Shimano can but dream of. 1:1 for life! Back to chains... As a part-time bike mechanic and restomoder I keep a supply of PC850s and PC950s on hand at all times. I throw those ludicrously likeable links on everything that comes into my wood shop (part time bike shop). I have yet to work on any bike that does not need a new chain as NO ONE seems intent on keeping theirs in good shape! I always give my clients a copy of my monograph on chain care but few if any heed my words. So, lots of new SRAM chains in my supply. The price is always pretty good too, especially for the 850s! I swear by SRAM!

I use this chain on a single speedfixed gear bike and it's been great after much abuse.

These SRAM chains are excellent and long lasting. I use them on an old 7 speed freewheel roadbike. My usual lubrication method is paraffin wax following the Oz Cycle protocol. The chains come with an adaptor link so changing them out is really quick and easy. Highly recommended.

I had a chip on my shoulder about master link style chains. I bit the bullet and bought this one and now I'm convinced, master link technology has grown up and is ready for prime time. This chain installed quickly, is exceedingly smooth and unlike chains you have to drive the pin in with a tool, you DONT have to worry about a stuck link! It's always the right tension. Put the ends together, snap them together, and you're done. All I could ask for and more.

These are awesome replacement chains for any vintage MTB.

I have used these Chains on 6, 7, and 8 speed bikes. The chains are smooth and work exactly like they are supposed to. I highly recommend this chain

Great replacement I use for most repairs without getting fancy. Shop stocks these for 21spd,7-8 spd cassette. They shift as well as the upper end chains. Kept lubed will last a year or more. Strong quick shifts, climbs gears well. Drops down and engages good.

While refreshing a 1993 Marin Mtn bike, I was pleasantly surprised at the price of an 8 speed chain (compared to 11 speed). So far so good and I expect this to run a long time with normal maintenance.

Replaced the chain on my wife's bike, she was amazed at how much it improved shifting. Win!
