I was skeptical about going with a 1x drivetrain on my new gravel rig, but decided to give it a try...and I'm glad I did. One note before saying more, I am running a 38T chainring with this cassette rather than the more popular 40T setup. But with this combination I have a very hard time telling the difference between this and a 46/33T double up front with a 10-36T in the back...it's that close. There is one point in the cassette where there is a somewhat pronounced jump...somewhere around the 4th or 5 sprocket when your upshifting...but other than that the jumps between the cogs is very smooth. After running this I can see how 1x systems may become more prevalent on road bikes. This certainly rocks the gravel scene. Kudos to SRAM and to BTD for making this available at an affordable price.

SRAM product is a bit expensive compared to Shimano, but BikeTiresDirect had great pricing!!!!!

Summary says it all, it's a For e cassette which means shifts are smooth and crisp. It helps that it's even fairly light considering it's size! Wouldn't buy another XPLR cassette.

This is a great cassette and provides plenty of range for climbing. Shifting is smooth.
