It's a battery, it works

One of the great things about SRAM eTAP / AXS shifting (as opposed to Shimano Di2) is that you can carry a backup battery with you in case you forget to keep the batteries charged. I had been meaning to get one and was happy to find a sale at Bike Tires Direct. I've ordered other things from biketiresdirect and am always pleased with the whole experience.

After having a failed ride I decided to buy a spare battery. I'm glad I did.

In four years of going wireless I have not had any SRAM battery issues. I rotate my batteries from front to rear derailleur. This was too good of a bargain to pass up. It is on standby.

I got my sram eTap battery as a daily special and it was the lowest price I have seen in a while

Always thought it would be a good idea to carry a spare battery in case I neglected to keep either of my current batteries charged or if a fellow cyclist needed one on a long ride

I was buying the bobo brand of these for a bit, as spares, then they became 'look they're fine', until they aren't. Not saying the real ones won't fail at some point, but they won't fail in a month at random. Catch a sale and do it right.

Would always like it if it was cheeper but it is what is. A battery and I needed an extra one for long distance racing. That's it in a nutshell.

I works. I rotate it in with my other two batteries on the bike, so have only used it for one cycle. It is a little expensive for such a small battery and just in case spare battery. Wireless shifting is so much better. I have it for my 2x12 SRAM rival wireless. During the season of 2023 I was on two different rides where another rider had to cut their ride short due to a dead SRAM derailler battery. I can't remember that last time a cable broke on a ride However it did happen to me a couple of years ago, but was able to mod it to get me home.

Very expensive for a battery, but this is the price most anywhere! But now to the review. Could you get by with only the two? Sure......if your rear goes out you can swap the front which is needed less and one can have a gear range to finish a ride. However, having both derailleurs working with a spare or even two is best for very long rides. Hold do they hold a charge and perform? Well, my usual 20 mile rides daily I get up to 7-8 rides of changing the rear anywhere from 180-250 times. The front, I get longer on but only change typical 10 times per ride. This kind of shows the battery life to those wondering. I see a lot of post on broken connectors and tabs??? I wonder sometimes if people change in haste by "monkey fisting" these things rather than taking your time which in all reality is like 5 seconds to change out??? So are they worth it? Yes......unfortunately you have to drop $60 on something SRAM has to produce these at maybe $5 each and in all reality should only be like $20 tops!

Not much to say. It's a battery. It works. It charges up, and powers derailleurs. Wish these were a little cheaper, but that's not BTD's fault. As usual, price and service from Bike Tires Direct is a 10/10

We recently got a new tandem bike with the SRAM eTap drivetrain. We absolutely love the new system, with just one chainring and 12 gears, ranging 10 - 52. The battery charge is supposed to be good for 25 hours, but we decided it would be a good idea to carry a spare battery during multi-day bike tours. The spare battery is small and easy to carry in a bike bag or pocket of a hydration pack. Glad the Bike Tires Direct had it in stock.

Everyone riding SRAM AXS should carry a spare battery with them, do yourself a favor and buy an extra before you learn the hard way out on the road or the trail. Also, do yourself a big favor and buy original equipment and don't mess with a knock-off battery, not worth the risk.

I needed an extra AXS battery and this fits the bill. It fits easily in my bag, now I never run out of juice in the middle of a ride.

Buy them on sale and don't forget to remove them if you are traveling with your bike out side on the car or truck. If you only have two batteries on your bike then you should buy a couple more. Don't buy knockoffs, only buy SRAM AXS batteries. :)
