If your front disc brake line runs externally down your fork leg, the brake line AND ESPECIALLY the fixed support for the brake line will probably be in the way and the fender can not be mounted in anything like an acceptable fashion...it couldn't for me. Could I have foreseen this? Maybe, but the fender's description implied it was so adaptable that I overlooked the possibility of interference. I feel the product description should have mentioned this. Surely I'm not the first person to have experienced it.
I also felt the fender was too short. Is it great for a clip-on style fender? Maybe. But I'm now thinking that's kinda like saying it's the tallest pygmy in the village. Is it simple? Yep, for sure. Would it be effective wet weather protection? Not by my standard. Yes, I know I've not actually used it (because I couldn't mount it). But I have lots of experience with different fenders.

Easy to install on my Specialized Allez. Water does get through, but the feet stay drier than they would otherwise. To me, the rear SKS blade is more important, but this is a good complement for bikes that won't fit real fenders.

I have this fender on all three of my bikes (1996 Litespeed, newer Ridley Fenix, Fuji Cyclocross). Works well and is easy to attach. Hard to come up with an excuse not to ride in the rain with this on the bikes.

This fender attaches easily to your fork and provides adequate coverage. I wish it was a little longer, but SKS sells a more expensive model if you want clip on front fenders that extend down near the bottom bracket.

I am a fan of SKS fenders, and have used Raceblades for years - I love their understated simplicity. This one is different, and it fills a specific niche.
I have tried several fender setups on my winter cylocrosscommuter. Odd carbon fork shape made fit a problem, and bad roads have rattled (literally) everything I tried. The fender looks a little strange, but setup was quick and easy, and it adjusted well to the shaped fork blades. On a snowy pothole-ridden ride this sat firm and quiet, with no need to adjust mid-way. It has just enough coverage to keep the calves protected from spray.
The aesthetic has not grown on me, but on wet winter days, I tell myself that you get style points just for getting out there...

I wanted to throw a full fender on the front of my bike, but unfortunately there aren't any eyelets on the Enve CX fork that I'm running. I stumbled upon the S-Board and decided to give it a try. I've only ridden in foul weather a handful of times with this fender, but can safely say it works and it does a brilliant job at keeping road spray off of me. With the fender on, I don't even think twice about riding in the wet anymore as I know I won't get soaked or covered in grit like before.
Pros
- Mounts quickly and easily via the rubber straps.
- Clears the 700x40c tire I'm running. Can possibly clear up to 42s.
- Stealth in appearance. The all black finish blends in nicely with the forkfront wheel.
- Can quickly remove it if it's not needed. No hardware to mess with. Just undo the straps and you're off.
Cons
- Can be a bit longer for more coverage. I ended up installing a mudflap on the end for even better wet weather coverage.

I wanted an effective front fender I could quickly mount or remove and this is by far the best I've tried.

Simple to attach and keeps the front wheel spray to a minimum. It doesn't extend past the fork crown, so don't expect it to keep that forward spray to from coming back at you. All that being said, I don't think you can find a better clip on fender.

Super easy and quick to mount. When mounted its on solid. No bouncing or rattles. A good sturdy fit

Bought a board front fender a few years ago and it didnt perform well. I hesitated in buying the current version, but glad I did. The quality of material has improved immensely. The fender attaches easily and securely and has out-performed earlier versions by far. Im very happy with it and would purchase it again.

SKS makes some really well thought out products. This is one of them. This front fender is designed for bikes that may not take a large, permanently affixed fender. It attaches quickly, and allows for a wide range of adjustment. It is not a full coverage fender, but it will help keep the spray off your pants and shoes. I put this on my single speed so I could continue riding it in the winter.
