I'll start with saying this is very much a "nice to have item", especially when compared against the original Mattone. That said, I was surprised when I moved my items from my Mattone into this Mattone Ultimate, and have more space. So for anyone seeking to just have a bit more space, or just a sleeker saddle pack, well worth it. I dinged a star on value only to acknowledge that the original can do the same job as this for the most part.

I use an under saddle radar, but its rail bracket leaves no room for the wide Silca strap. I removed the bracket to make room. I threaded the strap through the pack's loop then over the saddle rails. The snazzy Kevlar loop then hooks on their pack, and the fancy aluminium boa knob snugs it UP. The pack needs to be accessed with its zipper, but it hangs top down, and the contents need to be caught as they fall out. Wouldn't it be cooler if the pack could be quickly released from the strap? It turns out another under seat pack has that feature. It's less expensive and has more room. It simply works. I use two of those. They're simply slick.

Super small but fits tire removal tools, a tube, electric pump and multi tool. The Boa is the best part making it very tight and streamline. No rattles.

I love these seatpacks. Lighter and sleaker than the old one and holds my stuff just as well.

On the bike it looks great. Nice and compact like it's barely there. The boa strap feels very secure
A bit cumbersome to get on and off, but I'm ok with that

Really well made and looks great! I did need to order some smaller tools and tubes to fit it all but smooth sailing since then. Looking forward to finding out how it handles the wet.
