It is stupid easy. So easy to pop off a chain and drop it in and put it back on the bike. Chains aren't never greasy, they run quieter than lube, and you can hear exactly when they are ready for a refresh. This warmer is hassle free, but so is a pot on the stove. Silca's wax warmer is probably one point easier than the stove, so grab it on sale. Worth it.

Love this system. It's so easy to use and you can't accidentally overcook your wax. Love the chain holder that lets this dry overnight without any mess and when used with the rest of the Silca wax products is a no brainer for chain performance and life.

This is so much better than using a crockpot. I love that you can set the temperature and don't have to worry about overshooting. I also love the cable coupler and the ability to hang the chain to dry above the pot. I am very happy with this purchase.

I waxed 2 brand new chains. I wish I bought the additive for new chain instead of cleaning the oil off mine. I figured it would probably be better to do this, but then had buyer's remorse because cleaning the chain was the most time consuming part of the job. The rest was easy. This was a winter project so I can't speak to the effectiveness of the wax versus oil. I bought it as a daily special so the price was good.

I have always cleaned chains using a degreaser then applying a liquid teflon chain lube. I decided to see the hype of a waxed chain so I invested in the Silca system. Very easy to use for sure and whether waxing a new chain or dirty chain, it simply creates a quiet chain going across your chain rings and cassette. Now if it truly improves the longevity of a chain it is a win all the way around.

What do you say about a system that makes it so easy to wax a chain that you think there has to be more to this! This system is simple, anyone can do it, even a caveman! I have been waxing for four years and this is a game changer. Drop the chain in the pot set the temperature and walk away. It takes less than a third of the time to reach the right temperature when compared to a crock-pot and it holds that temperature. No need to constantly check the temperature. Go to the store, cut the grass or clean your bike, you are free to choose.

I've used the Silca Chain Waxing System twice on my Ultegra 11- speed chain and am pleased. It appears to be made of good quality materials. It simplifies a fussy, messy process which means I'll wax my chain more frequently. That should increase chain life, and given the cost of a new chain probably make it worth the price.

Sure, this is just an expensive crockpot, but it does a better job of managing temperature than a normal crockpot, plus it's the perfect size.

Can't feel any efficiency gains, but seems to last longer than drip wax. However, I will continue to use Smoove for indoors trainer due to wax residue that tend to fall off.
