Overall these are a pretty good mountain bike shoe. Comfortable for hours of wear, with wonderful stiffness for excellent power transfer and reduction of fatigue on grueling rides. Breathability is decent, but not stellar. Sole grip is solid. The one downside is that they run about a half-size larger than normal for Sidis.

There was a day when Sidi made really nice cycling shoes. A few years ago $300 got you shoes with true craftsmanship. Well made, nice materials, something special. For $365 these are like the craftsmanship and quality of something that should be sub-$200. Times are tough for all companies, but this is a corporate embarrassment to the brand they once were.

The new buckle/strap system is a big improvement over the previous version - strap is contained so the inside portion doesn't rub on the crank arm and the buckle is one button to release.
